Before writing my review, I checked other reviews. It seems that all positive reviews are appreciated but not a single negative review is accepted as own fault and compensated. So, I am not going to expect any apologies or compensation for my review, however, if it happens then that is a positive development for this garage and a miracle for me.I had my brake discs done for all 4 tyres here. The very next day the ABS light came up. I took to the garage to show it, but they said its not their fault because the ABS sensor is located far away from the brake discs that they worked on. They tried erasing the code, but it kept coming back on. I had to go for a very long drive in few days, so I had to get this issue sorted as soon as possible. They signposted me to their friend by saying that he is the expert in electronics. When I went there, this expert charged me £30 for nothing more than just erasing the code, which I agreed to pay because I had no choice as it was the weekend, and I was due to go for long distance journeys the next week. This expert wouldn?t take card payments because he has no card machine and can?t take bank transfer because his bank account is blocked, so I had to go get cash out to give him. As soon as I drove out, the light came back on. Eventually, this person checked that two of my car?s brake callipers were not working, so he fixed for £50 so I cannot criticise him anymore for what he did. Then I took the car back to this place and at that moment the ABS light was off, so they insisted that I am imagining things, perhaps implying that I have anxiety issue. Why in the whole world would I lie to them about my ABS light unless it was the truth. During this time, I had to go for long journeys with this light on.Afterwards I took it to Leicester Motor spares shop, and they changed my ABS sensor. They gave me a VAT receipt for the labour and part and mentioned that the ABS sensor was indeed snapped. They charged me £42 for this and asked me to return to this garage asap and get the brakes bled as there was air in the brake fluid. The brake was noticeably spongy. Then, at last, I managed to get a slot at my usual regular garage and they checked to see that the wheel bearings for one wheel were damaged. This cost me £180 to get it fixed and now the light is gone. Absolutely gone. In as little as 2 hours, the problem was solved. And most of all, I got a proper receipt for this job, so I have all the hard evidence to prove that I am not imagining things. Now, before any of you pass any judgement, please check on internet that ? Can ABS sensor and wheel bearings get damaged during brake disc changes. Just that fact that people have damaged these parts during brake jobs, proves that it is a possibility. After all, I am not chasing for free rides; I am paying my hard-earned money for everything, so a little integrity and sincerity is expected. Plus, I witnessed with my own eyes, during the day when they were changing the brake discs, that they were hammering the bolts and parts as well as using flame torch at certain times. This one brake disc changing job cost me £260. Then £42 for changing the broken ABS sensor, £180 for wheel bearing change, £50 for brake calliper fix and all that time wasted in going to and fro. A total of £532 out of my pocket and not a single penny compensated by this garage. Even the most expert mechanics couldn?t deny this garage aggravated these other parts during their usual job, which triggered the ABS light. On a positive note, the workers generally spoke with me with respect and thankfully I wasn?t shouted or swore at. The people working there are good, but the management has to start accepting their mistakes and if accepting means that they have to compensate for the mistake then YES do it; it is your responsibility.
