We were staying in Leicester for 2 nights and on the second night decided to reserve a table at Bistrot Pierre, we've been to other locations in the chain and had been impressed. As in other Bistrot Pierre's the decor is a bit quirky and, as you might expect, French in style. The area was divided up into a number of small 'rooms' which gave it a cosy feel. On a Saturday evening it was only half full but this is probably to be expected early in January. We were quickly shown to our table, the wine order was taken a few minutes later then about 10 minutes later our meal order. All very efficient. My starter of calamari was both a generous size and tasted fresh, far better than the rings you are often served. Our main meals of Normandy chicken, fish cakes and pork medallions were all very good - perfectly cooked, full of flavour and with well thought out accompaniments. For this quality food we thought the prices were very good value. Service was quick and friendly throughout, absolutely nothing to complain about at all.

Lovely restaurant, which felt very festive and relaxed. We visited for a pre theatre dinner and were not disappointed. I had the chicken and fries with a mushroom sauce, which was delightful. Restaurant was not too busy (as it was early evening), service was prompt and bill was reasonable. Worth a visit.

Decent enough experience, nothing particularly stood out as either good, or bad. Pre-theatre on a Saturday night. Booked for 17:30 and we're comfortably out by 19:00 (three courses).

Wow the food was absolutely amazing. The service from all waiters and waitresses was top notch. One waiter Josh was brilliant and his very good at taking a photo ?.. better than myself. We will be returning before Xmas. Ten out of ten ?

This food is delicious. And I want to eat more of it. Prices have gone up since lockdown but where hasn't? Wish they'd put more honey on the chorizos, but good gosh darn those chorizos are tasty will be back working my way through the rest of the menu.

well this is the worst restraint /cafe lol in leicester and Iv lived hire 64 years its not French at all the food is terrible and I got charged 2 times for my drinks bill I will never go again and watch out for service charge

A friend of my daughter who was based in Leicester, recommended Bistrot Pierre, which has a 20% student discount. We went there for lunch and note that the prices were slightly higher but the restaurant was crowded. We managed to secured a table and ordered a sirloin steak and boeuf bourguignon (marinated diced beef slowly braised in red wine, shallots, mushrooms, honey roasted carrots and pomme purée) and a pint of draft Bier 4.9. The food was really good but unfortunately, there?s no student discount offered on Saturdays.

Absolutely incredible meal here on a Friday night. Service was friendly and attentive - it did take a while to be welcomed at the door and another diner had to alert the staff but not a major issue. I had Steak Frites which was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Creme Brûlée. Great value and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend

Walking past last night and called in for a table for 4. From the first welcome to the last goodbye I cannot say a bad word. The service was amazing from each member of staff warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was gorgeous and served quickly and hot and the steak cooked exactly as requested. Cannot say how lovely our experience was only gutted you are expanding down south and not up north to Manchester

Food was generally very good. Was some confusion regarding wine being pre booked to the table, I wanted this to be seamless as the visit was for a birthday, but rather than having wine provided upon arrival, I had to chase this. But minor point for otherwise very good experience overalll

beautiful restaurant with lovely ambience and staff, food came hot and was delicious, particularly the sourdough; staff were incredibly accommodating to my disabled mother, and was overall an incredibly enjoyable night out

Fantastic breakfast option which was tasty and great value. Vegetarian and vegans catered for. Food was a little slow to the table but this wasn't an issue for me. Service was also great.I would not return for the coffee, but other reviews say better.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options on the menuDietary restrictions: I believe these can be catered for as everything appeared to be made to order.

Great food and top service - really enjoyed our dinner here at Bistrot Pierre! The 3 course menu is fantastic value for money with a good variety of dishes, and cocktails 2 for 12 before 7pm. Wictoria was our server and was very attentive and gave good recommendations - thank you! Would definitely return again
