Barclays Bank one of the biggest names for domestic/public banking. Absolutely appalling customer service. Firstly they charge per minute on the phone, What good customer service does that. the ones who may need their help the most can't afford their call charges. Ever tried to call them from a call box. Yes sometimes some of us still have to from time to time. Then to find you are kept waiting for severely long times. They are racking it in on call charges if nothing else. Secondly too many branches are closing. I have to travel so far to find a branch and then to find they are closed on a working week day. Not all use tech to deal with everything. An elderly neighbour can't video bank or use internet banking. They are leaving so many vulnerable people to struggle so much. Petrol costs etc. I needed help I went to a branch, I was kept waiting so long my 2 hr car park time was up and had to give up the call. I couldn't come back so I couldn't and still can't get the help I need.
