Woodagate was always my branch of choice for the care taken with the fresh produce like the fruit and veg, the width of the aisles and the overall tidiness of the shop. Changing road layouts have made it a little trickier to get to over the past few years but I still think it's worth the effort.

Good little Aldi

As expected for a typical Aldi- including the homeless druggie loiterers and drunkards. I?ve seen plenty of junkies attempting to bulk buy painkillers only to be foiled at the self checkouts. It?s funny but sad at the same time.
Regarding the store itself- it?s generally well stocked. Flowers are difficult to buy as they disappear quite quickly. If you buy the more premium versions of Aldi brand things- they are actually very nice.
Water is another thing that runs out quickly also.

Aldi is a brilliant shopping experience every time I shop there. Great prices, products with a good shelf life. Knowledgeable Assistants .
An all round great experience.

I recently visited Aldi and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The staff were noticeably unfriendly, treating customers as though they were suspected of stealing?even something as minor as a carry bag. This behavior is not only unnecessary but also disrespectful, making the shopping experience uncomfortable.
Speaking of carry bags, Aldi charges £0.30 for a cheap plastic one, which is understandable if it were a durable, long-lasting bag like those offered by other supermarkets. However, their bags are flimsy and do not justify the cost.
Additionally, the self-checkout area is poorly managed. Carry bags are not readily available, forcing customers to call for assistance. Even then, staff seem overly focused on ensuring the bags are scanned, as if customers can?t be trusted to do so. It?s insulting and creates a negative atmosphere.
Customers go to supermarkets to shop, not to feel scrutinized or disrespected. Aldi needs to improve staff training and provide a more welcoming environment to ensure a better experience for their customers.
