The most unhelpful Nationwide staff. Unable (or perhaps just unwilling) to help with the simplest of requests. This branch could close completely and be of the same use.

Agree wholeheartedly with Stephen Vickers comments that this branch has changed for the worse. Have been in twice in the last 2 weeks and I don't know whether it's me but the staff seem to have very little customer service skills, not only that they are getting younger and all of the staff on duty were no more than 25!! My second visit I was waiting for my query to be resolved and was next to 2 elderly ladies who were having difficulty sorting their query out and I could see why as the counter assistant didn't seem to be very helpful! As for my query I was originally told that I had to do my query through the website and after a bit of persuasion I managed to get the lady to sort my problem out as she said she couldn't do it at the start? I've never had a problem with the Nationwide pre covid but you need to address the issue that the staff don't appear to be particularly helpful with alot of queries saying either you have to sort it online or ring customer services!! You also need to bring back some older staff like there was a couple of years ago!

We have been fans of the Nationwide for years, but during the pandemic, the standard of service has declined, and the corporate direction is no longer in empathy to customer service, and the new recruits lack that ability to interact with customers, which is the way of the world, these day's, with young people.All of the financial institutions seem to think the future is on the Internet, which is a shallow way of thinking, for there is a role for the the Internet, but people prefer the face to face experience

Great friendly branch. However i find it very frustrating now that they no longer open on a Saturday. I hope this is only due to Covid as I now have to take time off work just to pay money in to my account
