This is my second home because of the great atmosphere alone. The service is great, even at busy times, and the staff are very apologetic if you have a bit of a wait. The cafe is also now dog friendly which is a huge plus. Lovely staff. Great coffee and food. Great all round.

Advertises open at 06:30 Mon-Fr. Arrived 06:45 to a locked door and a staff member just looking at me periodically from her laptop. I'll use the Cresent store from now on!

Avoid costa .Staff so rude .Small thin lady needs to go on customer service course .Ordered hot chocolate my husband asked about cream she said 50 p extra not a problem. Miserable and rude won?t be using Costa in castle st again .

The only reason I come into this Costa is because of oonagh,Ellis and Nicole, they do an AMAZING job and always provide the best customer service, WELL DONE GUYS !!!!!!

Rude member of staff, not everyone but she made me and my 8 year old nephew feel uncomfortable when ordering a hot chocolate we assumed it would come with cream and marshmallows (wasn?t asked when ordering) she just presented us with marshmallows so I asked her about the cream she then announced extremely loudly that we hadn?t paid for cream - poured the hot chocolate into a bigger cup which then dripped all down the sides and made us pay 50p extra for cream - the queue of customers were shocked that a mistake made on her part was made out to be our fault. We didn?t get the name of this lady but she had red hair. Unfortunately the hot chocolate spilt (luckily cold by this point) and my nephew asked me why she was smiling behind the till at this. A man helped us out and cleared up after us which was great however the barista behind the counter made us feel extremely uncomfortable - to the point where my nephew said as we left ?that lady doesn?t seem very nice.? Not a great experience

The air flow in the cafe space needs improvement as it can get rather hot and stuffy inside, but it usually has outdoor seating available to provide alfresco dining space. Queues are unfortunately quite lengthy, service isn't as quick as some others in the chain. Ideally they need to relocate to a larger unit, with more diverse seating options. Otherwise the staff are quite friendly which gets them 4 stars from me.
Parking: Parking is a problem in the town centre as the council has recently "improved" the Castle Street carpark adjacent to Argents Mead and has reduced parking provision for some reason.

Went into Costa between 11:10am and 11:30. Stood in the queue. Everyone's order was taken and mine was not. They started serving everyone and acted as though I was not even there. After some minutes I asked if they were still taking orders which they said they did, but contiuned chatting between themselves while sorting other people's orders. I have never seen these two team members before and never have I been treated like this in Costa. I felt discriminated against and in the end I just went to Greggs. Really ruined my morning.
