Lovely village pub which does good food with hearty portions. We had a nice meal of 2 starters a day 2 mains which were served quickly and arrived hot. My wife's chicken breast was a bit dry but apart from that a very enjoyable visit. Toilets were spotless and staff friendly and efficient. We would call again and recommend for anyone looking for a good meal at a fair price.

We went there for a family meal as it was one of our sons birthday
The food is wonderful and reasonably priced
I very much enjoyed the rump steak and Guinness pie
The cherry crumble tart is also really good
The service was good and the pub itself is cosy and very well looked after

Lovely friendly pub, very welcoming. Called in on the off chance for some food and despite being full in the restaurant, they found us a table. Roast lamb was excellent and generous portions. Nut roast equally good and very flavoursome. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Been going here for many years now, it?s a lovely pub with a good atmosphere, the food is always great here and good portion sizes, and very reasonably priced.

When is it open. Tried on a Tuesday evening and closed. Five disappointed customers. Passed by a number of other times and not open.
A sign outside listing opening times would be very useful.

Five of us had Sunday roast lunch here today and it was excellent all round. We all had roasts and the quality was top notch. Well cooked fresh vegetables and crisp roast potatoes, lean meat and generous proportions to the extent that only two of us had pudding - a lemon cheesecake and a butterscotch bread and butter pudding both of which were delicious. Even the teas were served on a nice little tray with vintage crockery and little chocolate mice on the side ! Coupled with a good choice on the menu, very pleasant service and an affable host this is a great place that offers very good value. Well done and thanks. Highly recommend.
