We keep coming back to this place! It has a lovely selection of food and while it can be slightly expensive they are brilliant with dietary requirements and the staff are so lovely. They have the BEST gluten free brownie (only allergen is egg) I have ever tasted (literally my family is always asking for some) and they have something for everyone. They also have dog ice cream during the summer which is perfect after a walk.

Visited the cafe with my 18 month old grandson. It was due to be a very hot day. However we arrived at the cafe at around 10am so temperatures were just beginning to warm. Standing in the Que to order, wasps were swarming around the cakes. Most of them open without cover. Really off putting. I decided to give it a miss.
We sat outside after I had ordered a hot coffee and a ?baby breakfast/basket? whatever they call it.
I navigated a pushchair and a tray which was holding a wooden spoon with our order number on and a hot cappuccino. No member of staff offered to help which was disappointing.
The table under the canopy outside became incredibly hot and absolutely swarming with wasps.
I had drank a large coffee and still no baby breakfast arrived. My grandson was getting bored and very hot. Finally it arrived, no butter on the toast and non by the side. Toast as dry as a bone. Beans, hash brown and sausage looked ok.
However, It?s not so easy to return to the counter with a baby and pushchair, bags etc to ask for butter which they had forgot, so he of course wouldn?t eat it. I?ve no idea why it took so long to deliver. I?m sure these items are all ready to go at breakfast times.
I just feel they are quick to take money but cannot deliver on service. There are wasps everywhere. It?s impossible to stay seated. No outdoor ceiling fans or wasp distraction. Terrible. Won?t be returning. Breakfast got left. Expensive aswell.
£11.20 for that measly order.

The pancakes are so good - would recommend to anyone. Charlie is very good and very helpful, made my visit very special for my mother?s birthday. Coffee was so good too. Great place

I rarely leave a review but felt compelled too. It?s a couple of years since I have been here and I remember really enjoying everything about it. This time the food was OVERPRICED for what you received and DISAPPOINTING. By far the worst Avocado Smash I have ever had. I ordered sourdough with avocado which was £9.50 and £2 extra for each poached egg, totalling £13.50. The sourdough was the heaviest sourdough I have ever had and the driest, no butter offered and really tough to eat. Cappuccino looked amazing but tasted bland and assumed watered down. I doubt I will be coming back to the cafe which is a shame! Definitely not a Kai!

Ordered 3 breakfasts, 2 coffees and orange juice; £48.50. Disappointed. No butter on Avo Smash with sourdough and an egg is £2 extra and small portion of pancakes for £11.50! Beware it?s dog friendly but there are no dog bins on site. Business at the back of site aren?t happy with Wistow customers using their bins. Won?t be coming back unfortunately.

Popped in for lunch. The tuna melt was delicious and reasonably priced. Wonderful coffee. Didn't have a cake but they looked amazing so I'll be back! We sat outside - lovely!

Lovely lunch of quiche and salad whilst enjoying a catch up with an old friend.

Whilst the food is nice, it does seem a little overpriced for what you get. The service can also be slow at peak times, although the staff always seem to be busy.
Be warned that the cafe does attract more than it's fair share of wasps.
Dogs are allowed on a lead at the outside tables.

Our coffee tasted watered down. The stars I have given are basically for how beautiful the place is. But it?s not ran well. It?s a shame as we?ve been coming for years as a family.
We had a latte and a cappuccino. The latte had a very watery texture. I?m used to lattes with skimmed milk, this wasn?t that. It tasted watered down and lacking in flavour. The cappuccino didn?t have the texture of a cappuccino, more like water. The froth seemed to just disintegrate and the whole texture was thin and tasteless.
We didn?t bother to complain because the staff were so busy, we simply couldn?t be bothered especially after having queued for so long. We?ve complained on a previous disappointing visit and haven?t found them to be receptive (the Google review replies indicate they haven?t changed, so what?s the point?) Won?t be coming back in a rush.
Why on earth they have 1 member of staff serving when the queue is huge, I have no idea. Theres a clear lack of urgency to get the queue down. Overall another poor experience, such as shame as the place itself is wonderful.

Had a lovely mothers day afternoon tea. Kelly and her team were so friendly and were efficient with replenishing tea pots and drinks. The food was plentiful and fresh! We got greedy and got some extra bits and it was scrummy. Please keep up the good work

Wow, wow, wow, what a fabulous afternoon tea we had today at the café. Thank you so much to the Wistow team for looking us all so well today. Ten friends met up to celebrate my late mum's life. We had a wonderful time sharing memories of mum over afternoon tea. The staff at Wistow were great, very attentive and catered for all our needs providing a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Thank you to the team at Wistow café for a lovely afternoon!

The food was good but after a 30 min wait in the queue. So disorganised behind the counter.
