I?ve been waiting since February 2025 for a refund of £825 due to a rent overpayment for a property I vacated in January.
After multiple emails and follow-ups, I was told my refund is being withheld because a new tenant hasn?t completed their paperwork something entirely unrelated to me.
I have had no access to the property since January, yet Martin & Co responded to this review by stating I ?will not be released? from the tenancy until the new paperwork is done. This is despite the fact that I?ve been gone for over five months, and they?ve been fully aware of this all along.
I consider this unacceptable. I paid more than I owed, I left the property months ago, and I?ve made every effort to resolve this directly.
I will update or remove this review only once the refund has been processed.

I was very impressed by the end to end process and experience. Excellent communication throughout the sale, attention to detail, and super service. Well done - I would definitely recommend.

Luckily I have met my landlord and she's a lovely lady. I rent her property through Mattin and Co for nearly 6 years now. But how she pays this company to manage it is beyond me. I read some of these reviews and they are pretty accurate. You need about 10 working days for someone to call you back and it seems as there's no one working in that office. Extremely unprofessional. People are polite when you ring but you can tell they're not happy working there and therefore choose to do the bare minimum. This complaint is not personal to the people that work for martin and co but to whoever runs it. I also know they've lied to me multiple times to excuse the length of time it takes them to send me my contract and other things. I chose to leave it but I had to come here to complain this time. Unfortunately, when you rent you look for properties, not agencies. But to you landlords, who probably look for agencies to manage your property, don't bother.

Martin & co have been brilliant in helping me to sell my Mum house. From initiation of marketing the property to communication during the legal process, they have been consistently professional and supportive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants the best agent to support your sale.

Simon K recently came to value our home and was fantastic. He took all measurement and was very knowledgeable with his research on the local area and similar properties and followed up in a timely manner. Would recommend Martin and Co to any prospective sellers or those wanting to get an accurate value for their home

I don?t really know how to sum up the dedication, the unrelenting support, (beyond what an estate agent would normally offer), Martin & Co gave to me, for what was a long, complex and challenging process prior to a successful completion.
Luke, Ella and team, during what was an incredibly busy period for any estate agent, were there for me throughout. Pretty much every communication had to be written, I?m deaf, all replies and advice to me were swiftly given. I?m disabled too and extra assistance was required, there wasn?t a viewing they didn?t attend.
Throughout the entire process, the ups, the downs, they were professional, patient and kind. In all honesty, I shall miss their, so very often daily, communication.
They got to know my story, played a part in it and have been key in helping me to open a new doorway into, not only a new home, but also, a new life. Thank you ?

Called them up 2 weeks a go to book a viewing for a property. All booked and set for Thursday..... Came to Thursday and I thought I would call just to confirm as I was travelling over an hour to see. I got through and was told sorry, the property has now been sold....
1 I wasn't made aware of this so would have wasted money and time to drive.
2 They didn't sound like they gave 2 hoots and just put the phone down on me.
3. The house is still on the market now.
This company are clearly unprofessional and don't care. The fact that this person has trusted them to sell their house and they are fobbing off buyers.

If you are planning to be a tenant with this company please make sure when you leave you do a written notice, me and my girlfriend rang to say we was leaving got told everything was put through and then a day before moving out was told we had to pay another months rent and bills. Very unprofessional company as the staff have treated us like we are intentionally not paying bills even though they should have said when we rang, and now we have lost over 800 pound in deposit. Also problems always took ages to get sorted to the point other neighbors complained and they had to contact them themselves.

Recently had photos taken of our property by Chris. He was very professional, advised us with any questions we had and helped us get the best pictures possible. We also had Luke give us a valuation of our property beforehand and he was very knowledgeable about the housing market etc.

We recently used Martin & Co as the agents to sell a property for us following a death in the family, with us dealing primarily with the Coalville and Castle Donnington branches. Chris came to do the initial valuation and guided us through the process. The team managed the viewings for us, and kept us regularly updated throughout the marketing and sale stages, through calls, messages or email. They also arranged clearance of the garage for us which was appreciated. The use of the Propertyfile site was very useful and enabled us to track remotely booked viewings/offers etc. A specific mention for Ella who was working closely with us, who was approachable, friendly and professional throughout. I would certainly recommend using this agent.

I called 4 agents to value my property and I must say Martin&Co were by far the best. The amount of effort and detail Jack put into the call was outstanding and the level of homework Matt carried out set them above and beyond the rest! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Matt and Jack and I will certainly be using them when it is time to sell.

I had issues with referencing online so I visited Jack and Matt in branch who work on sales, they provided an excellent service to say they don't work in lettings. Credit to the company

I have recently Sold my house with Martin&co. From the very first moment I met Matt and Jack I felt at ease, they were both friendly and approachable.The house sold within a week, Martin&co were very efficient throughout the whole process nothing was too much trouble! I would highly recommend them!

Kasia was thorough, kind, professional and patient whilst dealing with me finding a property in the area. Not easy during covid19 restrictions and also with me being from out of the area and also working nights but we did it! Thank you all for all your help. The application process is seamless, simple, intuitive and best of all fast!
