I was really disappointed with the service I received today. I had a parcel to collect in store.
It is Bank Holiday Monday so I expected the store to be busy.
I queued at the tobacco/parcel collection desk amongst other customers. Behind this desk were two staff members. One was a lady with blonde hair and brunette hair underneath (a peekaboo hairstyle) whose name I didn?t see. The other was a lady whose name badge read Senana. I witnessed the latter speaking to the other lady rather rudely and abruptly regarding parcel collections and telling her she was doing it wrong. Instead of asking her if she was ok or needed help she sharply said ?what are you doing that for?? I put it down to BH stress. But her behaviour continued and this time towards myself. I was called forward and approached the desk saying ?Hello I?m here to collect a parcel please? Senana said ?give me the number? I asked if this was the number on my text (I?ve not done this before). She rudely said ?yes give me the number?. I apologised and said it was the first time I was doing this and gave her the number and waited away from the desk as there were other customers. The gentleman picking the click and collect orders came to the desk and a parcel was snatched from his hands without a thank you. He commented that it was messy behind the desk with all the parcels and Senana then commented that it was really busy and that she was doing well to stay nice and keep her composure.
Unfortunately I hadn?t witnessed any of her being nice and keeping her composure. She was abrasive, rude and put me off returning to the store as her behaviour was intimidating towards her colleagues and customers.
Working is retail is stressful but once you reach that level of unpleasantness, it?s time to step away from the desk and take a breather as it just makes the whole environment toxic.

Self service checkout is supposed to be a convenience, however it?s an absolute nightmare at this store. Nobody bothers to pay attention to the lights. Such a waste of time.

Ordered just eat from here as just out of hospital... An experience id doubt id repeat...how hard is it for a picker to collect a very items without getting it so wrong! Come on wake up!

Most depressing and lifeless supermarket I've ever visited. Didn't see any staff members at all during my visit.For some people a visit to the shops is their only chance for conversion.Not here.Maybe this is the future. How sad.I should also add until other supermarkets become as bad as this, I won't be visiting Asda again.Please Asda don't bother with an insincere reply promising to pass my review on to the relevant department, I've heard all that rubbish before!
