Visited on a blisteringly hot day. Really good beer garden. Excellent choice of food, struggled to pick to be honest, we had steak and a burger. Both lush. Service was good, even though we were outside. Good choice of drinks on draft, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

For us food was let down fish and chips fish was over cooked the landlord was very welcoming and helpful apart from fish and chips the food that was coming out looked good food and beer little pricey

Menu is good loads of choice, cost reasonable, restaurant friendly and quiet. Ideal for meeting friends as you can hear each other !
Been a few times and never disappointed .Comfy seating outside so we finished the evening with a coffee sat out. perfect ?

Lovely food, beautifully cooked and presented. Generous portions. It would be good to have some additional veggie options. The service was great, and the waiter was covering the restaurant alone, so a big shout-out to her! It was a little dark and airless (it was a hot day!) so only 4 stars on the atmosphere, but will definitely come back. We're regulars at Paul's, but nice to have another option that serves lovely food. We all really enjoyed it.

Stopped by for lunch. The beetroot and bacon salad was great; it was a very interesting and healthy meal. The fish and chips were also excellent. The service was first class. If you are out for a drive or a walk along the old Grantham canal, finish with a meal here.

Stopped at the Rutland Arms for lunch, sat outside in the sunshine, the staff was very friendly, food was cooked well and very well presented. I had fish , chips and peas, and my daughter had burger and chips.

We called in early Friday evening for the fish and chips special which was delicious and good value. Service was great as was the Timothy Taylor's Landlord! Will definitely be back.

Outstanding value for money. The Rutland currently offers a Dine For Less Menu which was £14 for 2 courses and £19 for 3 courses. Unlike other restaurants who skimp on the portion sizes we had a starter and main and there was no chance of managing a dessert.
Excellent service.
Lively bar area with a quieter more exclusive restaurant room. We returned later on for a final drink in the bar.
The only downfall: if we lived closer we?d be eating here numerous times a week!

I went in for a drink after the bull had closed, as soon as I walked in there a woman behind the bar by the name of Emma I believe rang last orders but carried on serving everyone else throughout the night, forcing me out telling me to leave but could not give me a reason
Nothing but dirty looks from this single employee ever since I stepped foot in the establishment.
She has no customer service skills and is by far the most rudest person I have met.
If I were you I would go to the bull round the corner, a lot better atmosphere and nicer staff! Won?t get discriminated there either!
