Excellent service as always from a friendly., caring and efficient nurse for my annual well woman check up. Like so many others I consider myself very lucky to have the GPs and nurses that we do at Greengate. Half the reviews on here are 5* from people who agree with me and the other half are from people who are seemingly fixated on the time they wait on the phone ( yes, it's annoying but this is a country wide problem). The important thing is the medical care and expertise and Greengate is faultless. It's easy to complain but few take the trouble to compliment

Excellent service from Hollie on Friday 21/3/25. Hollie went out of her way to get a copy of a form which I had lost for my mother. Hollie was so kind and understanding and made a very stressful day a little less so. Thank you so much.

Reception/admin staff always friendly & helpful. Have been seen by various doctors, including Dr Gokani & Dr Harrup, who are always professional, thorough & caring. Feel lucky to have this surgery in the village.

Excellent service today. Went in and explained that my 87yr old mum who lives alone had been unwell since Sunday. I don't know the system as I don't live in Birstall. The receptionist was lovely, explained how I went about getting an afternoon appointment. I went back at 12md to book a telephone triage and spoke to a different receptionist who again was lovely. Within 2hrs mum had a telephone call from Dr Edwards who was very good with mum. Within 2hrs we had a home visit from DCU medic on call Ella who was so kind and patient. As a retired nurse, I was very impressed with the whole service and the kindness and friendliness of all the staff today. Thank you.

Thank god I have moved away! All my life I thought the way this place worked was normal. I rang my new practice, they answered straight the way and get this?? LISTENED. Crazy.
3 occasions myself and family members came here with serious issues that were just shrugged off or googled. We all ended up in hospital needed emergency surgery or week long stays at the hospital. The staff are obviously not happy in their jobs and make that very clear on the phone and in person. Im glad that I will never be returning!

Receptionist staff need urgent training in customer service. It?s absolutely shocking how uncaring they are. Why work in a job that requires care and compassion when clearly you are lacking in this area. They?re not forced to do the job.

Receptionist told my partner his blood results were normal and not to worry. We looked on his NHS app and saw it was abnormal and potentially consistent with diabetes. Thank you Dr. Karen but the receptionists here really should stop thinking they are doctors and just make the coffee like they are supposed to.
Update: It was type 2 diabetes. Potentially would have been left unchecked if we didn't insist on talking to the doctor directly.
