I am generally a fan of Spoons but not on this occasion last Friday fish and chip day. I chose a table and after the standard 10 minute wait, ordered the regular fish and chips with a pint at £12 which is great value. I asked about bread and butter but was assured that it comes with a slice, fine. The table I was at was grubby, so I moved some empties. Looking round there were probably 4/5 uncleared tables . When my food came served by a fairly scruff looking waiter, I enquired about the bread and he basically said it?s extra and you haven?t ordered it so tough. The fish and chips were cold on a cold plate and the mushy peas were pretty solid. The fish was off white almost grey, do definitely not fresh cod and the batter had curled into a scorpion impression. The whole experience was a shame. This place needs a massive wake up call and better management and quality

Poor management here. Staff slow to serve and slow to clear tables. Showing complete lack of interest. I think they'll be lucky to survive the opening of the new Lounges.

Food was lovely, there was a small mix up with my order that was sorted immediately and graciously, with full apologies. It is lovely to be served by people that understand good customer service. This is also one of the nicest wetherspoons in the country for both decor and atmosphere.

Not bad, but wasnt clean and lacked character. Probably wont return. Staff didnt seem to care, tables coverd in the last persons food.

Yuk! Pre-cooked poached eggs - cold in the middle! They gladly replaced them, however, they were exactly the same - tasteless and cold.

What a lovely weatherspoons. Visited Sunday morning. Wasn?t busy. Lovely clean and tidy. Ordered breakfast. Came pretty quick. Only grumble food wasn?t ?hot? but Luke warm.

Terrible Tables dirty. The staff just serve the first person they see, no awareness of who is waiting and in which order Poor training.

Popped in for quick lunch and a couple of pints. As usual most of the empty tables was full of pots and glasses to be moved by customers. Ordered by the app and shockingly the drinks came out fairly quick, food to follow. Food was ok on this visit. Thanks.

Visited for breakfast and it seems communication isnt a strong point, plates came out with 6 hash browns on each plate and no eggs, also it was all cold, when we asked the server he said he'd go and ask why, he came back and said they were out of fried eggs and only had poached, we said we'd have poached then, off he went and came back and said we can't as we'd had extra hash browns, I explained that wasn't our choice, the cook had made that choice for us without asking, plus it was cold so returned both breakfasts and they said they'd redo them.. Both came back obviously just microwaved, missing the mushrooms we'd paid extra for, still no eggs and the now soggy x6 hashbrowns. This was the second time we'd visited for breakfast and it had been a total waste of time, should stick to selling drinks as they really can't serve food very well.

Walked in to dirty tables with plates and glasses on . Managed to find a clear one . We stayed just over an hour ,the tables still hadn?t been cleared . Had a pizza it was undercooked and cold Not going again

Went for breakfast come out frozen sent back. Then it was microwaved and shocking the cheese on the wrap and vansied in to a hard crust. Manager said she watched them cook it when she went outside. Attitude stinks,think maybe need new staff or the manager to go on a course on how to speak to customers

We go here quite often, the food is cheap and cheerful and service is fast and polite. I just wish they would clear and clean the tables more often. You always have to clear the table you want to sit at but are then left with a wet, sticky table. Sort this and it would be an excellent place to eat.
