Simply fantastic. I won't bore you with the usual details. You just have to go. The food is phenomenal. Beautiful pub. Great drinks and friendly staff. What more do you want people? In the photos, no they are not bits of fish even though they are huge, they are in fact the halloumi fries. The other picture was my dessert.

Popped in to see our friend David in his new pub. Sadly we missed him this evening but really enjoyed our meal.
Food was hot, plentiful and delicious and the lady that served us was lovely. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
We will pop by again soon

We were met by the male waiter who placed us on the worst table in the pub it should have been sent to the tip. Waited about 30 minutes for started and another 30 minutes for main course. My partner couldnt eat it he said it was horrible and it had been on the hot plate in the kitchen for too long. We left because had the waiter asked him how the food was he would have made
a big scene. I personally wouldnt of paid.

Lovely roast dinner on a Sunday. Well cooked meat and the Yorkshire pudding was very nicely done. Too few roast potatoes that were a bit on the small side. Veg was well done and good variety. Service is a bit odd - for the price you?re paying you might expect some table service in a pub of this quality especially for Sunday lunch, but generally it was good. Prices are reasonable for the food and then bizarrely high for things like soft drinks - £4.50 for a coke? It?s much lower at other gastropub type places nearby that serve the same standard of food. Staff were all friendly and lots of smiles. The trio of roasts and the rib of beef seemed to be the most popular at our table. Parking was fairly easy and easy place to find. Can go for a walk on the Green opposite to let your lunch go down. Overall pleasant Sunday afternoon!

Very quiet pub. Not muvh happening through the day. Good menu but could do with a little more choice. Service was a little slow and had to order drinks at the bar.

Cosy feeling pub that's dog friendly, fish and chips were good, kids burger looked like a slider but was pretty chunky, guess it depends if you like a think or skinny burger ?

Made extremely welcome from the off. Decor Is lovely and the staff are friendly without being pushy. Asked for my steak to be cooked Bleu, it was - right on point. Got talking to the shift manager who could not be more helpful, this is how a local should be run. Excellent.

Our first visit to the Grapes for years . Lovely decor as it looks like it has recently been refurbished. It took a while for our server to come over to take a drinks order and provide the menus . She then told us at least 4 things were off the menu as run out and only 1 portion left of another item. This was at 6.30pm and we were told it was due to a busy weekend and next delivery is not until Wednesday?. Unfortunately two of the items were what two of the party of 5 were going to have so had to select something else . Starters arrived and 2 of them were only lukewarm so we sent them back and they were replaced. My main (the gammon) was dry, the chips hard and the peas of everyone were hard . Again this item was sent back . It had to be re- made so everyone else had finished by the time it came . The server had deducted the gammon when she brought the bill . We did not have desserts or coffee . Overall very disappointing. Such a shame as in a lovely location and building and the servers are helpful and accommodating but unfortunately the food was below par .

Nice place in great location. But food isn't great. Pies look big. But tbh there very very little filling in it. Its all crust, the crust was over done and it made it difficult to cut. The veg was almost mushy, not pleasant at all. Overpriced for the quality you get.

Absolutely brilliant, this was our first visit to this pub. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. The service was outstanding and the food was insane and the waitress that served us was lovely and extremely helpful! The recommendation of the cottage pie croquettes didn?t disappoint! We had those with chicken strips and cheese sharer board for our starter, absolutely beautiful! For mains, I had the salmon wellington and my boyfriend had the mixed grill, again it was just perfect! Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back!
