“Firstly, the gym has made really positive strides over the last 2 years. Much better kit, environment etc than in previous iterations. Love the calibrated powerlifting plates - makes all lifts feel more balanced and achievable.Secondly, the ownership team is top class. From entering (which I only do a couple of times per year when visiting family), they make you feel welcome and supported. Paul also has a fantastic knack for using your name, in a really authentic way, which makes you feel at home.Definitely think it’s the right gym in this area for people of all ages!”

“Fantastic gym for all ages shapes and sizes.Started doing PT with Dan, once he showed me the ropes I knew what I was doing so joined the gym on my own.It’s such a friendly place and for someone like me who usually finds a gym daunting this is the complete opposite, everyone there is on different levels and it’s such a nice environment.”

“Trained at lots of gyms over the years & recently joined a few months ago. I have been hugely impressed with the training & seen a huge difference already! The classes are tough but always supportive with a variety of great trainers. You never do the same class, giving a great variety. “Would describe this as a gateway gym. Gym Ect Orrell serves a niche demographic for those new to a gym experience or have some form of gym anxiety. It's a small space with limited equipment to serve general fitness. There is a womens only area should you feel this is your current comfort level.Like other chains of the gym ect brand, investment is needed. They have seen some wet side facilities removed which has impacted its offering and competitive standing.The Gym staff however are fantastic. Josh is a long standing staff member who has earned his stripes in his position. Lucys personality and vibe is an asset to the location.Collectively I would rate this 4 stars through a certain lens. Comparatively against their nearest competitors it would be a three.Gym ect Orrell is certainly a small community gym, and plays its part well.”
