I recently visited The Malt Shovel and was really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious ? freshly prepared, well-presented, and full of flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection.
The staff were equally outstanding ? warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in and were happy to accommodate any requests.
Another lovely touch is the kids? park in the garden area, which kept the little ones entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our meal. It?s perfect for families and makes the pub even more inviting.
Overall, The Malt Shovel is a fantastic place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel looked after. Highly recommend!

A selection of Good beer. Quite quiet when we got there but after 9.00 the place started to fill up. We sat outside to enjoy the warm evening. With a pool table and darts section large TV which we watched to see the English ladies football team beat Sweden.

Stayed here on our journey back home to Galloway. Pulled up in our wee camper, allowed to stay in the car park and even offered EH. Lovely staff members and food was amazing. For a family of 6 it was very reasonable and portions were great.Our sleep was good too, given we were in a pub carpark. Would recommend.

Food is beautiful. Staff are friendly, polite and efficient. Chicken burger and chips for myself and the hubby had Scampi. Could not fault anything.

Did an overnight stay at The Malt Shovel Inn, in our campervan.
Lovely food and great customer service from Lauren, Alan, Linda and Jack. Made us feel very welcome.
