Lodging in Warton, Lancashire

“I recently visited The Malt Shovel and was really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious – freshly prepared, well-presented, and full of flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. The staff were equally outstanding – warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in and were happy to accommodate any requests. Another lovely touch is the kids’ park in the garden area, which kept the little ones entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our meal. It’s perfect for families and makes the pub even more inviting. Overall, The Malt Shovel is a fantastic place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel looked after. Highly recommend!”

“We stayed for 2 nights in this homely Inn which is a very old historical building run by a lovely couple. We were warmly welcomed by Janet and shown to our room which was a good size with an en suite shower room. The bed was very comfortable and was stocked with tea and coffee and complimentary bottles of water. There is a bar with a good range of well stocked real ales. Food is served on the evenings with the vast majority home made using locally sourced ingredients. It’s really good quality pub food at reasonable prices. Breakfast is included in the price and it is a quality full English with plenty of toast and tea/coffee. There is also a range of cereals and orange juice. Warton is a small village close to Carnforth and a great base to explore the local area and very close to the M6. The George Washington is excellent value and we look forward to staying again.”

“It seemed like a great place. But on that day the restaurant side was not open for business ? That was the only reason we went there as we were on holiday up that way. Can't say anything about how to rate the rest sorry.”

“Had such a lovley time with mÿ family at Homelee Lodge,very clean,everything you need in the lodge,waking up feeding the ducks & swans on the lake,zoo,farm,crazy golf all within 10 mins drive,will be booking again x”

“we stayed in Lancaster Lodge. it was brilliant. they had thought of everything and had the softest towels ever. very peaceful. The onsite bar restaurant we only had one drink in as it didn't look the best and the manager was having a go at the bar staff infront of customers. we were there for a week fri to fri. swimming pool and gym area was spotless and a great pool. Just the extra cost isn't good . 7 day pass to the gym and pool was £150. you can pay daily for swimming . they do have rules to who how many adults have to be with young kids too. this is cos they don't have life guards.”
