My appointment was at 9 am . I arrived at 8.55 . The store did not open its doors until 9.08. I was eventually seen at 9.20

Can't thank the team at this branch enough for their care, compassion and kindness to my mum, 87, who's now very frail and who has been a customer of theirs for many years. They handled her eye test and screening recently after the NHS diabetic eye screening picked up macular degeneration - information only volunteered after I asked having worked with a sight loss support charity and realised her normally brilliant vision was changing. She's had a wretched time in the past year and is housebound most of the time but it was important for her to get to this appointment- about three had to be cancelled because of her increasing infirmity and ill health. The team, from customer service through to a fantastic ophthalmologist, were absolutely lovely with her, a joy to witness. She's got two pairs of glasses on order, has actually (as a lifetime hoarder) got rid of umpteen old pairs of glasses, and is very excited about them. I'd add my vote of thanks too. I ordered new glasses a few weeks earlier, with Zeiss lenses, always loved as a photographer, and I took out insurance at a very reasonable cost. On Monday this week, when I dropped in at a mobility shop to organise an assessment for a stairlift for my mum, I fell outside and found myself in need of a facelift. Really hit the concrete hard. My face got the worst of it, teeth in particular, but I'd have damaged an eye had it not been for that Zeiss lens - which crazed in the impact but didn't splinter. I could see enough to drive to the nearby urgent care centre. My advice - take out the insurance for accidental damage. It's huge peace of mind to know that I don't have to pay for that pair of glasses again. I also hope this branch on our high street never closes. It has loyal customers, many of whom would struggle to get to another branch.

Fantastic optometrist talked me through all tests explaining why he did tests and the outcomes in details. Staff helped me to choose the best glass frames considering my allergy to metals. It took ages for me to decide and they were very patient. So I got absolutely beautiful frames which suit me perfectly.

Disappointed with my last visit,got the impression it was an inconvenience so to deal with us and any other customers,if you had a upset customer before,my appointment then you have one now.Ps thank you for your reply, don't see why I have too put a review in writing to you,maybe your area manager should ask assistant manager the question when we have spent £4500 on hearing aids and glasses for us both.

Unfriendly person called Kirsty on reception desk at cleveleys,I had my last pair of glasses from there,but I won?t be using them again because of woman on reception called Kirsty,my wife wife wasn?t good at answering the questions today so I helped my wife out by answering some of the questions for her,but Kirsty on reception desk was so unprofessional towards me that I took exception to her attitude,so I personally won?t be using them again,but my wife will,my wife has forgotten her appointment date and time now through this woman?s attitude.There is nothing wrong with the optician I thought he was brilliant when doing my eye test last year,it?s just the attitude of the woman on the reception desk who annoyed me.

what a place staff are so unhelpful and have an attitude from the minute you walk in the shop we had two appointment's today and yes, we were ten minutes late for the first one, but both were one after the other only to be told they could only see one of us , just who do they think they are the high street is full of opticians money walks in this day and age customer service appalling at BOOTS it would seem obvious that they think there special and over £200 pounds just walked out the door never to return so my message is look elsewhere and stay away from boots if i could leave No starts i would

Recently attended for my annual eye test and from start to finish the staff were excellent, friendly, polite and knowledgeable, the Optician took time to chat and discuss my test and came across as someone who Boots should be proud of. Altogether I felt like I had been listened to and it was definitely a better experience than I've been used to at other well known high street opticians
