We had two meals here while on holiday, one dinner and one lunch. Both times the food was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit.

One of my mother's favourite restaurants. The managers and staff are welcoming, friendly and very efficient. The food is consistently good.

We live locally but hadn?t visited for a while, and we were really pleased we came back. The food was excellent and served to a very high standard, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub restaurant has a traditional old-style charm with plenty of character, which made for a lovely evening. We will definitely be returning again.

Don?t usually leave reviews but this was definitely worthy of one.
If you want bone dry chicken, re warmed roast potatoes, overcooked carrots and generally a very very poorly cooked Sunday lunch. Get yourself down to the Ribchester arms for some over priced gruel.

Oof what happened to you Ribchester arms? They've changed hands a few times now and the most recent change has resulted in increased prices and much smaller portions.
They've gotten rid of their Sunday lunch which is such a shame! A roast on its own is now eighteen pounds.
The salad was an eye watering fourteen pounds, and if you actually wanted something with your salad like chicken it was an extra four pounds...
The cheese and onion pie was finished in four bites and only came with twelve chips (we counted). Before the pie itself filled half your plate.
The service is just...not good. There's two people who have been here years and they're great! But the others are just very young and don't really care. When we came in a young blonde and brunette had to study a computer for a considerable amount of time to figure out if they could fit four people into a fairly large restaurant which only had two other tables in it. When we called them over because we were missing half our drinks the blonde tried to get the brunette to come over. She did come eventually but not before chatting to the blonde for a while first.
So sad to see the prices get jacked up and the service go downhill. Especially as the food is good. Just not worth the money and experience.

Went for Sunday lunch very busy as there is a roast dinner offer on before 1230. Good value and decent quality roast but did have to wait for extra drinks as they were so busy. You definitely need to book to guarantee a table if you are going for Sunday lunch.

Extensive gluten free menu to choose from. Plenty of internal and external seating with heaters at the rear.
