The main course was excellent although that can't be said for the apple crumble dessert.. the 'crumble' was more of a soggy mess , that looked like it had been reheated in a microwave with clingfilm on to create such a soggy top.. unfortunately it had to be returned.. the replacement bakewell was excellent... all that said, the staff were friendly and attentive and meals arrived in a timely manner...

Lunch today,Wednesday 26th March.
Very extensive menu, lots of choice.
Food came quickly, very hot and delicious.
Excellent service even though venue was very busy.
Not cheap but would definitely recommend.

So thankful to the wonderful team at The Whitchaff who accommodated our group of 12 (despite us not having booked!). We were in the area for a family funeral. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service. The food was delicious. Our group is made up of meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians and everyone enjoyed their meals. Thank you, all. A wonderful pub.

Pleasant pub in nice location and staff friendly but was very let down when they charged me £2.80 for a fruit shoot drink for the baby, won?t be going again because of this so they lose a lot more money than they made on that drink.

If you are seeking high quality pub food with excellent service, you can?t get much better than The Whitchaff. Ever since its refurbishment, it has gone up to another level. The menu is so big, but I am yet to have a poor meal there and I have been there for many business and family meals.
