Manager who harassed a member of public legally taking pictures from a public space, you're a manager you have no right to follow anyone talking pictures in a public area, you run the Waitrose store, stay in your domain.

The tea room is the worst tea room I've been to. Ordered a burger and chips and didn't eat any of it...the burger was terrible and drenched in mayonnaise. The chips were raw....who can't cook chips?! Tomato soup was completely forgettable and bland. Disappointed given its waitrose. Will not be going back to Cafe!

Intrusive staff reviews all through and through! Responses are"politely worded" but reveal an extremely callous attitude from the company. Security following the customer all the way to the till? Not acceptable. I was going to visit your store for the first time today, but after reading those recent reviews, no, thanks. I will go elsewhere.

I am writing this review to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that my sister and I experienced at the Preston waitrose. On 01/07/23, my sister and I visited the Preston branch of Waitrose to pick up a few things. Our shopping experience quickly turned distressing as we noticed a security guard continuously following us throughout the store and continued to watch us closely at check out. We were made to feel uncomfortable and humiliated by the assumption that we were involved in any wrongdoing. It became evident that we were being targeted as we had done nothing wrong and were the only individuals being closely monitored despite the presence of other customers. We had a word with the security guard as we were leaving just to let him know we felt really uncomfortable with him following us. We were informed that two girls had come in earlier and had stolen things, and this is why we were subjected to such close observation. Another employee working at the tills said "the security guard was just doing his job" and was completely unapologetic about the situation and showed no empathy or understanding for how we felt. We were deeply saddened to have undergone such unfair treatment. Profiling of any kind is not only a violation of our rights as customers but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes and divides communities. Being women of colour and visibly Muslim, we are often hypervisible in public spaces. The thought of any young woman/girl of colour entering the store and automatically being assumed guilty makes us feel very upset. We believe in the importance of fairness, equality, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their background or appearance. We kindly request that you investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate measures to address the issues within your stores. We hope that you will consider implementing additional staff training programs to raise awareness about unconscious biases and to ensure that all customers are treated equally and respectfully.Furthermore, we would appreciate receiving a formal apology from Waitrose for the distress caused during our visit. It is crucial to us that our concerns are acknowledged and steps are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. We value Waitrose as a reputable brand and hope that our faith in your commitment to inclusivity and fairness will be restored.

I love going to Waitrose however the security guard followed us from the moment we walked in. My husband complained to the manager but he continued to follow us until we paid. He made the whole shopping experience very uncomfortable. We enjoy going to Waitrose alot but to tell you the truth I am not looking forward to our next shop. Please do something about it or you will lose alot of customers.

Waitrose have sold their car park to the British Parking Association, £100 MINIMUM parking fine if you park just 1cm out of the white lines. Absolute disgraceful. I'll never shop here again.

The security guards at this store need sacking. As a waitrose shopper of many years, I have come to the conclusion that you have no regard for your customers, and for that reason, I'm out .

Due to an employee being fired from the Bournemouth store for eating a doughnut that was being thrown away. I can no longer condone a company that has no moral compass or common sense. Please respect your employees.

Opens at 08:00 during the week and it is pretty quiet at that time. The most important thing to mention though is that the staff were great: all that I came across were cheery and happy, whilst also being extremely helpful, polite and kind. This unfortunately rare, yet simple and free, service left me with a wonderful impression of the shop and the business. Thanks for a lovely, positive start to the day.

We shop here often, and have done for a few years, and always had a lovely experience with the staff, they have always been so kind and helpful, but yesterday me and my partner were closely followed and watched our entire shop. I understand it may not be common for 2 people to split up to do their shop, we had my very tired 2 year old with us, so sometimes we split up to make the shop go quicker, and less chance of a toddler melt down. I thought I'd leave this review so you guys know for next time, or if you come across another family shopping this way.... Or maybe have some training to make it a little less obvious when 2 staff members are following and watching shoppers, as it was made quite blatant and made us feel uncomfortable. I don't want to describe or specify which staff member did this, as I don't want to get you in trouble for thinking you were doing your job, but I think you'll know who you are

A calm, impressive store, as expected for Waitrose and Partners. Prices high but there are some bargains to be found. Recently reintroduced their free coffees for Waitrose card holders (apply free online). What I miss is the free newspaper offer and haven?t noticed prices coming down enough to make up for this loss of benefit.

Over £10 for 2 x luke warm coffee and 2 x toast. Waited over 15 min for toast that didn't arrive, gave up and left to go somewhere else. All for work experience for young people but they do need supervision and training in customer service.
