I?ve been here several times ( 10plus) for food and no matter how I greet the 2 waiters they always act like they have never seen my in their lives very strange, service is very hit and miss came for a Sunday roast which was lovely but the waiter paid absolutely no attention to me once he served my food trying to order drinks from him was impossible they just never made eye contact
He asked the couple on the next table 3 times if they were enjoying there 1 starter between them but left me waiting for a drink , waited 20 minutes in the end had to go to the bar who served me then when I got back to my table they had cleared everything from my table without even asking if I wanted a dessert clearly knowing I was still there is was 5 minutes
Very poor service but great food ! Sort it out boys ! I like to support my local community but don?t take us for granted just because you can?t be bothered

Only stopped for a coffee and a beer both were great cappuccino and pint of Berliner spot on.

Great place but need more bar staff as takes forever to get served when it's busy.

The pubs in a good location and has a decent selection of beers, that?s good enough to look over the rude and abrupt staff who?ll usually ignore you while you wait to be served.
Doesn?t matter if you?ve been waiting 10 minutes to be served, if someone else walks they?ll probably serve them first and treat you like an inconvenience. This is what to expect when you visit.
Will be spending my money at places that want it in future, somewhere that treats the customer with respect and don?t make you feel like an unwanted guest.

Went there to see a band, "Just Radiohead" they were amazing.
We didn't eat because we couldn't get a table. Apparently, you need to book in advance which we didn't ?

Not much choice in beers. Sat down in the conservatory, the glass was filthy and overall looked shabby.

I took my dad for a stroll around Avenham park, which is beautiful by the way. We parked the car in one of the entrances car parks. Upon return to the car we decided to go to the New Continental for a bite of lunch as it is opposite the car park. This is a hidden gem of a pub. Really nice rooms, outdoor space and large conservatory to sit in or out. The lunch menu was extensive and very tasty. Would definitely go again

My fiancee had chicken parmesan on a ciabatta it was ok she said but the chicken was rather tough, possibly a little over cooked.
Mine was the CBLT on ciabatta and that was delicious..

Had the best day visiting Preston, sat out in the beer garden, great selection of drinks and staff very friendly, will definitely be back.

Nice selection of beers . We sat in the beer garden which is by the river . There is a lot of work going on by the river bank so it will be better when that is done !
