This store has recently been totally refurbished and is under new ownership.
It is now a really lovely modern store, offering a large selection of fruit and veg,fresh meat from Mercer's local butchers,quality frozen 'Cook' meals, luxury English lakes ice cream, Cheeky coffee machine and a comprehensive range of groceries.
The staff I met were extremely friendly and helpful and seemed happy with all the improvements and new customers they were seeing.
I definitely recommend visiting if you are nearby.

Been open a week now and visited on a few occasions. Lots of changes and more modern, staff really friendly and good prices - very helpful and a good addition to the local area

Have used this shop for a number of years never been the cheapest but went the other day, and what the shelf price said and what I paid at the till was nearly doubled when I asked the staff they just looked at me like I was an alien and said the product was in the wrong place. Very poor service will use the new lidl from now on

I find this spar so dirty floor needs ripping up hard to go around with a pram you get no help from staff they are so miserable half the time they have no uniform on store is so dirty loads of out of date food flowers are always displayed way over the time they should be always smells funny way over priced avoid at all costs !!

I find this shop dirty with poor choice of items. I find it overpriced compared to the spars in lostock hall. They sell a lot of out of date items but do not always clearly display this. I also find the staff miserable and not very helpful

Bad customer service with one of the colleagues keeping an eye on what you spend, that your only allowed a certain limit to spend in store, from the mother and her daughter. They, have done it to several people who work there, they have left due to attitude issues, and workload being treat like slaves.Management needs sorting accordingly ASAP.

Just back from holiday in Scotland and called in for some shopping. Got to the till with a large basket, all checked through fine, then I was told by the manager, with a smug attitude, that they had a policy of not accepting Scottish notes because they had some forged ones once. Went to the Spar on Station road who accepted the Scottish notes without comment. Later Morrisons staff took them and said how pretty the Scottish notes were. It is obvious where this store manager's mind is, as when we left the shop, from the doorway he shouted "This is England"
