The hotel is in a semi-rural setting. Nestled amongst trees, you doen't realise how close they are to suburbia. Yet, you feel like you are in the "sticks."The hotel finds itself in a beautiful original victorian manor house. building. Lots of character. It has an inforr pool and gym.Very quiet location.Rooms: The room I stayed in was luxurious, large and more than adequate. They were clean and neat. There was a bath and shower. Very comfortable.Food & drinks: The restaurant was closed on the night I was there, but the same menu was available in the bar. The food was delicious. The steak was done to perfection. The staff were friendly and engaging.

The hotel has improved a lot since my last stay with the improvement in the staff attitude, no overflowing rubbish in the front of the hotel entrance or the car park and overall customer experience was much better.Room had all the necessities like tea, coffee, water cans, kettle, iron and safe. Spa was really nice too.Room needed more attention as the sink tap and shower were dripping along with the dusting around the TV, potholes leading to and leaving out of the hotel premises could damage the tyres if not a careful driver.Spa was really nice with free towels provided. Free EV chargers are a big bonus! Therefore I have increased the rating from 1 star to 3 stars.2019 review below:Lets start with the positives:Location of the hotel, just off the motorway and easy to find. Also the garden outside of the hotel reception with sun loungers, nice place to enjoy the sun and the drink.Negatives:Overflowing bins outside the hotel. Also considering the amount of money they charge and for a 4 start hotel - no air conditioning in the rooms, no fans provided and when I raised the issue, I was told to open the windows for a cool room. I am a hay fever sufferer so you can imagine the sound sleep I had by leaving the windows open. The chair in the room was bad with leather peeling off.Swimming pool has to be booked but with only 30 mins slot. No mention of this on the website! In the morning before checking out, I wanted to discuss this matter with the manager and I was told to send an email as the manager is busy and not available!!!Rooms: Decent size room with all the amenities but room need better cleaning due to dust on the table and the bathroom needs more attention due to dripping tap and shower.Food & drinks: Good range of drinks but the food menu could be better. In room dining was okay as the food was warm by the time we received it.

Decent hotel rooms with decent amenities throughout the hotel. Nice gardens. What made our stay feel amazing was the unbelievable customer service from PAUL we had an issue with our TV on entering the room, Paul went above and beyond to move us room with an upgrade. He was very polite and professional but the kind strive he provided out two year old son went above and beyond his job description. With more people like Paul in the world it would moat definitely be a better place for everyone. This man deserves a promotion as soon as possible.Thank you Paul for making our sons say memorable!Rooms: Large and spacious with cots availableNearby activities: 17 minute drive to the heart of the city centreSafety: Both me, my wife and my son felt very safe throughout our stayFood & drinks: Large selection of food available at very high qualityNoteworthy details: Employees where outstanding on the front desk especially paul

Excellent customer service from front desk in the evening (african descent female) and front desk in morning (white male glasses) woth really good with our kids and engaging with them with the animal activity. Hotel was nocely located for our purpose. Rooms were nice only a few issues however main concern is amount of charging ports close to the bed. In an age of modern technology it is something alot of hotels will have to decide on.Rooms: The rooms were newly refurbished however the only gripe is the lack of charging facilities near the bed as there was only 1 usb slot in the lamp.Food & drinks: The food for breakfast was standard uk buffet breakfast they did have veggie sausages that were cooked to order and they cook poached eggs to order. We went down late for breakfast but if they ran out of something and you ask they made another batch.Noteworthy details: They were bery kid centric as Marriott had teamed up with illustration studios and had a fully activity which was fun trying to find all the ducks around the hotel and to get a pack afterwards was amazing. As my youngest son loves ducks just now.

Pleasant Surprise at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Broughton, PrestonI recently stayed at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Broughton, Preston, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Initially hesitant about booking with a corporate chain, I was pleasantly surprised.Despite my budget constraints, the Marriott offered a room at £99.00 per night, outshining the £140 per night rate at the competing Premier Inn. The value for money became evident as soon as I stepped into the impeccably clean room, adorned with high-quality furnishings. The bed and pillows provided a blissful night's sleep, elevating the overall comfort of my stay. The hotel's amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, spa, and gym, added a touch of luxury. The picturesque grounds and the character-rich architecture further enhanced the experience. While I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the basic room, my only minor gripe was the absence of a coffee machine ? a small detail that could have elevated the experience. Additionally, the unexpected but appreciated presence of air conditioning hinted at the hotel's thoughtful amenities.Notably, the staff at the reception were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, contributing to the overall positive impression. I would highly recommend Delta Hotels by Marriott in Broughton, Preston, especially when privately-owned options are limited. It's a hidden gem worth considering for both business and leisure travellers.

I stay here for work and can't fault the hotel. Car park has ample space, staff during check in, at the bar/food and at breakfast have always been helpful and happy to assist with any queries. Shame I haven't used any of their facilities due to work commitments but wouldn't think twice to

Lovely hotel with fantastically friendly staff. The absolute star of the show are the leisure facilities. Great pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna but the gym and fitness suite is next level amazing. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

The Hotel itself is brilliant staff great the Glovers swim school staff however are nasty think they own the pool and the man from the swim school with stupid hair cut needs to stop hitting on Marriot guests you ain't no cutey.Thank u for reply the marriot staff are as good as those in your other hotels weve stayed in in uk and abroard. We know the swim school is separate to Marriot but others might not. The swim school staff may think it's perk of job to interact with a group of ladies its not a professional to do we just laughed it off.Our group will be back thank u for addressing the issue..

Parking fine for waiting for colleagues, beware!!! I will not use hotel facilities again due to parking eye, I waited for a colleague to finish a business meeting and check out, no facility to pay and display!! My colleague was dropped off and I was collecting her, 5 days later I received a parking fine, £100 reduced to £60 if paid in 14 days, absolutely rediculous, I never left my vehicle and the engine was running, my company has been informed and we will not be using again!!

Hotel is good, conveniently positioned.Only small remark is the temperature in the room: outside was quite cold and room was little too cold (but an extra blanket on the bed was able to solve it). Room was spacious and clean. The staff was nice and friendly and really helpful. Will come back for sure next time in the area for business.
