I had to wait ages after sending my steak back as well looked like it jumped off a field it was that bloody the waitress took it back she was nice and then I had to wait ages for it to get another one everyone else had eaten there's the nice male waiter said we could get a refund so that was good I asked this waitress and wow she was so miserable like she didn't wanna be there and to be honest spoke to us like dirt and very arrogantly I wouldn't go back because of her all the rest and even the manager who sorted the refund out in the end was lovely she was not unfortunately

Booked for Christmas lunch. Warmly greeted by Chis the Manager. Both the food and service were excellent. Liked the way the layout and booking system meant the dining area was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were very attentive,friendly,polite and looked happy to be working on Christmas Day. Well done to Chris and all his team for making our Christmas meal excellent. Would highly recommend.

It is what it is...can't give it 5 stars because that would be disingenuous...but there's nothing wrong with it. Food is fine and not expensive but there's only so much "soul" a chain pub can have

We booked a family meal, 3 courses from their festive menu. There were 6 of us dining, We arrived to a stunning table all set up with table runner, crackers and wine glasses with napkins in, wow what great food, we couldn't fault any course. The staff were all brilliant and I can certainly recommend you book there for next year's festive dining. To the Phantom Winger can you thank the team that were on this afternoon as they were all brilliant.

Friendly and attentive staff, nice menu with a surprisingly wide variety of options but reasonably priced.
Had a great time with the family on boxing day (love the Christmas decorations!) Would recommend!

Had boxing day lunch here today, can honestly say wow !!! The staff were amazing, little gifts left out for the kids. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food to top it off was amazing and plentiful, orders were changed and altered at the last minute with no issues from staff, the manager on shift was great when asked for anything nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be coming again!!! Thanks again phantom winger, and merry Christmas to you all !!!!

Booked for a Christmas lunch, pre-ordering from the Christmas menu. On the morning of the meal we had a phone call to say the gluten free salmon wasn't available, the only other gluten free option available was the steak. At the meal neither of the steaks were very tender. We did get our drinks on the house as compensation for the lack of salmon but overall we were disappointed.

he staff who served us was very nice, and went above and beyond to look for chocolate for my cappuccino, eventually found a flake and used that as sprinkles.
The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding, and the food was cooked to expectations.
Would highly recommend.

I regularly visit this pub with a group of friends.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and they deal quickly and efficiently with any issues.
The food is good value, decent quality 'pub grub', in particular very filling breakfast offerings.
Most of us in the group are usually driving, so we stick to the non-alcoholic beverages, which are reasonable priced for a pub. Teas and coffees are generally cheaper than big chain coffee shops and just as good.
The pub itself is spacious with a good sized free car park (just make sure to enter your reg on the machine at the bar if you are stopping more than four hours), and is conveniently located close to M6 J32 / M55 J1.

Came in for lunch today couldn't find fault at all ,good selection of choice for everyone even the fussiest of people like my self, staff where very attentive,happy and full of the festive season, and plus the best pint of stella this side of the north west .top marks
