“A little late in posting this recommendation but better late than never. We (Unique Ladies Business Network) used Farington Lodge for our International Women's Day celebration in March. The venue received so many compliments from our guests. As the organiser, the communication was second to none. They were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all incredible. The food was delicious. A beautiful venue with delightful grounds.”

“Our room had just been fully refurbished as has the rest of this Hotel and was of an average size and had all the basics inc a comfy bed. Although workers were still in the building, there was very little disturbance, Breakfast was served in house with table service for the cooked breakfast and buffet style continental which were both very good. To sum up this Hotel I would say excellent basic accommodation for a short stay.”

“lovely place to visit and stay unfortunately it is very neglected now. The thatch is no longer thatched, the grounds are very neglected and over grown and need attention! very disappointed in the setting. when we arrived it must have been busy time and it was shocking!! however we did have an issue which was addressed very quickly by security. please look after thus little gem of a place it certainly needs it x”

“Stopover on our way north from Hampshire. Great value for money, very friendly staff and good, reasonably priced food. Also stayed over at the hotel attached, again very good value, comfortable beds and good shower.

“We really enjoyed our time in Preston, and the hotel and spa here certainly made our quick trip even better. The hotel was very clean, stately, and the grounds were lovely. The bed was very comfortable and we really appreciated the high ceilings, beautiful grounds, and enjoyed our walks around the estate. If you're working like we were, note that the internet is indeed fast enough for a developer who runs team meetings to lead all their meetings! I had a spa session with massage and facial and it was excellent! I swam every day and used the sauna facilities. The locker room and pool area was kept very clean and dry. The lady attendant was fastidious in keeping the changing room dry and clean. There was a bit of an incident where one of my favorite vintage pieces I sent off to laundry was not returned to us when they dropped off our clean clothes. I had actually been at the entrance to the hotel when the cleaner dropped it off and I verbally acknowledged to her that I could see my laundry because of my vintage piece and she stated they'd be delivered to my room shortly. Front staff sent back an empty hanger amongst our other clean clothes and had lost it. We found it on the floor amongst boxes behind the reception desk. They returned my item, and apologized personally. Not a big deal and glad it was resolved.”

“My wife and I had a two night golf break. Course was very wet and we lost a few balls. But it is that time of year. When we arrived there was a sign asking us to go to the restaurant to book in. No big deal. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent ?. Front of house we were looked after by Ann & Louise. They both were very cheerful and took great pride in their work. A big credit to them both. We will certainly be going back next year.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable .”

“we had an unexpected stay at this hotel and can only recommend to everyone room and hotel were very clean and comfortable staff were very friendly will definitely stay again in the future staff on duty on 22nd and 23rd February are a credit to the hotel we were looked after so well they could not do enough for us”
