The staff are all lovely, a credit to the hotel.The parking is free for overnight guests, you just pop your reg number into the computer at reception.I believe you can get pizzas but I drove to a nearby pub for my food instead.Unfortunately my room wasn't great. I stayed in room 121 and it is right on the corner of the main road so all I could hear was traffic through the evening and night, this obviously isn't the hotels fault but if you can have a room not facing that road I would definitely ask.The air con box also was rattling from half past midnight onwards and wouldn't go off, that kept me awake. The bed was comfy but the pillows were all just full of lumps. There was staining on the floor and the seats in the room looked dirty and coffee/tea splatter marks on the wall.The shower was great for pressure etc and if you've forgotten anything you can get from reception. Only think about the shower was that the door didn't seal so the bathroom flooded after a shower.Breakfast was a good experience.The hotel itself was easy and welcoming, just got unlucky with my room.

The staff are excellent, very helpful, they listen to what you are saying and act quickly to help you. They also recognise when you are returning for a further visit and ask how you are. Location on junction of major motorways for Lakes and Blackpool and Livetpool coast. Excellent.

Stayed here for 1 night in late February.A well located hotel with ample parking with ev charging available.Good sized rooms, with comfortable beds.A buffet breakfast is available in the mornings.Friendly and welcoming staff. Will stay here again.Rooms: Good sized, well equipped rooms.Food & drinks: Great pizzas available, just a bit expensive!

We couldn't have had a more perfect stay. We're in the area for a funeral, and I'm also a little unwell. The staff were amazing, and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was substantial, the room was spotless, mattress was comfy and there was a lovely bar area where we sat and had a drink. Everyone was awesome, and the location was good for us too. We'll definitely be back, hopefully under happier circumstances. It's a great place to stay.

Good food and Breakfast could do with different egg options but generally food good standard Rooms clean and good for work trip location ok for motorway not much else walking distance.

Deb and I stayed for one night on 20/01/2024 at the Holiday Inn and although the room was great, we have to give 20 out of 10 to staff member Tracey Ireland, we could see that she already had a lot to deal with when we arrived at the hotel but despite being very busy, she still delivered an ironing board and iron to our room promptly and with the same professional but genuine courtesy she greeted us with on our arrival, Tracey still gave the same courtesy to us when serving our drinks and answering our query about the heating and said that we could have a heater in the room if we were experiencing the cold, Tracey was warm, welcoming and friendly, clearly someone who loves what she does and also loves to interact with people. Tracey epitomises every quality you want to see in a staff member in any professional organisation, she is clearly an asset to the Holiday Inn and deserves recognition for her role, it was not just me and my partner that recognised her qualities, other group members on our trip also commented on her warmth and positive attitude....and even on completion of her duty as she was leaving the hotel, she came over to wish us good night and hoped we had a lovely evening!! What a difference she made to us having a brilliant experience.. a very big thank you Tracey from Deb and I and several members of our coach party. We salute you!Rooms: Clean, minimalistic in a good way, good amenities and comfortable bed.

We have stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses in other towns, and this was generally up to their usual standards. The access, free parking, room, bed, TV, wifi, breakfast and evening meal satisfied all our basic needs, but our only caveats relate to keys and security. The magnetic key that opened the room door was unreliable and soon failed to work, needing to be reprogrammed by a receptionist who took some finding. At other Holiday Inn Expresses a key was needed in order to go anywhere beyond the permanently staffed reception. At the Preston South branch, anyone could enter and wander round the hotel, including the stairs and lift. The reception desk was largely unstaffed and the front door only locked late at night.

This hotel is a little gem. The rooms are comfy and clean, though could so with some cosmetic updating as the furnishings and carpets are tired.They are incredibly pet friendly, welcoming my dog as warmly as they did me.The staff are wonderful, nothing was too much for them and they were efficient and friendly.The breakfast was good offering lots of options, with freshly cooked vegan sausages avaliable for me on request.I would definitely stay again.

Lovely place to stop off on a long journey. Rooms are spacious and clean, staff are lovely and the breakfast included in the stay was very nice. Thanks to the receptionist and who ever picked up my daughter's doll from the breakfast table saved us alot of tears when they gave it back to us at checkout.Rooms: Would have been nice to have bath in family room but everything else was great.
