Staff that poor I?ve chosen to spend more at Argos where at least they have common sense. Imagine not allowing me to pick up an item because I don?t have ?physical ID? for a router, despite showing my ID I have on my phone with my face on it, the bank card I used to buy the router AND the email account and email I used to buy it. Literally losing yourself money for no reason lol

I placed an order for click and collect for two games for the Preston store. When passing yesterday i nipped in and asked if i could buy the games and cancel my online order as i was passing and it was pouring with rain, saves me having to go back. One lady behind the desk said that?s fine I could buy them off the shelf and contact customer services to cancel my click and collect order. As i was walking to collect the games off the shelf another lady behind the desk very rudely said ?she won?t be able to I?m packing the order now and these are the last ones? The other lady then said your order is almost ready she?s just packing it now. The rude woman then said ?no she has to wait an hour for me to process it? process what I?m not sure as she was stood in front of my face with the two games in her hands and I just said I would pay for them again and cancel the click and collect order. I said no problem i will come back tomorrow. Not even 10 minutes later I received a confirmation text to say my order was ready to Collect even tho she just told me it would take an hour to process.
My husband went to collect them for me today and as stated on the email if collecting on my behalf he would have to take the confirmation email and a form of MY ID which he did. She then told him he needed HIS ID for him to be able to collect them even though the order is in my name! Absolute joke and i would advise not putting your rude staff behind the desk dealing with customers as it doesn?t look great for the company.

The staff quality fluctuates but they're mostly a pretty solid lot who are happy to nerd out and have a bit of banter as you purchase/sell. Nice store layout and plenty of good stock.

This is a decent CeX, it has an upstairs with a CD section which now seems to be very uncommon in the CeX stores I visit.

Like all CeX, this place smells, but it's quite a big open store which isn't disorganised like most, nice friendly staff.
