Been here a lot over the years and always enjoyed, but unfortunately yesterday 11/8/25 was disappointing, we were there early, before 9.30 on a Sunday, ordered 2 full English and lrg lattes, half hour later ( by now, coffees drunk) ! My husband had no bacon on plate, to be fair the waiter returned quickly but no excuse really after so long, poached eggs were rock hard and food just about warm. For the price, over £27, expect better

Used to love it here but recently had a few bad experiences and yesterday has completely put me off. Prices have gone up (understandably) however the lunch quality is poor and not value for money. This cheese sandwich really showed the lack of care being taken in the kitchen. Milkshake was weirdly warm considering it was made with ice cream - it was more like melted ice cream than a nice blended milkshake. The place feels dirty too - there is a lot of fruit flies (about 10 just around my table). These were landing on our food and ended our stay early - one or two is understandable but there was far too many for this to be anything other than poor cleaning. It used to be difficult to get a seat in here but it has been notably quiet the last few visits - maybe a reflection of the issues that seem to have piled up here. Such a shame and won?t be visiting again.

Ordered eggs Benedict. Waited 40 minutes for the food. The ham was actually a greasy piece of salty bacon that looked like it had been fried in a dirty pan and the egg was not fully cooked. Very disappointing

Not been for years and so glad we give the old girl another twirl. We both had a full English with coffees. Coffee was very nice, a good froth, decent strength & ample sized mug. Breakfast was excellent, really good produce, no missing items like some places, this was a ?full English? in every sense. Food was hot, fresh & cooked and exactly how I like it, with nothing under or overcooked. Will be making a regular appearance from now on & really routing for the owners to make a success of the place, it?s a part of Preston?s heritage & they?ve done a superb job of keeping it just the way it was, and reworking the old furnishings sympathetically. If you haven?t popped in for a breakfast you should!

Absolutely stunning place it truly stands out among all spots in Preston.
It has its own unique and fascinating vibe that makes you want to stay longer. The service is top-notch ? the staff are incredibly helpful, warm, and always smiling. Thank you for taking such good care of your customers?
Now, the banana toffee cake I had pure heaven in my mouth. Honestly, I've never ever tasted anything that delicious it was an unforgettable experience.

Was in Preston and saw this lovely cafe. Had tea and slice coffee Renoir cake. Absolutely divine, love the look of this beautiful building, and staff very friendly, the place is spotless. If I go again won?t go anywhere else.

Fantastic place to grab lunch. We only had sandwiches but others' food looked great & ours were fab too, stuffed with filling & a very tasty salad with dressing. The milkshakes are awesome! The prices are good too it was £17 for everything.
We sat outside in the sun & it's a lovely atmosphere. It has loads of space inside and everything was very organised and clean.
The staff were friendly & helpful and attentive to the people outside. The tables were cleaned soon after people left. We enjoyed it so much we're going again this week.
