Went for a meal here on Saturday night with our two children and it was delicious , the staff were attentive and efficient , food was absolutely delicious and the kids Menu was also excellent . Fish pie was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Looking out over the river Wyre it?s an ideal location for a gorgeous meal looking out as the sunsets . Loving their new menu , We were very impressed and will definitely be back xx

We had lunch here today and it was fantastic, a mixture of mains, starters and desserts and each meal was outstanding. The service was excellent and setting is lovely, we will definitely be returning. They also do kids eat free and our son had a delicious Sunday roast which was huge, absolute bargain! Thank you!

Lovely view but a a bit wiffy.Food was okay, nothing special and our mains were brought before the starters were cleared.

The rooms had a bit of a boarding school vibe. Very basic, wooden, dull carpet? faint smell of something odd. The bed was a bit of a tight squeeze and mattress was uncomfortable.The food was okay, i had a nice steak for dinner. Breakfast was average breakfast food. The service was slow - took a while to even get menus, and after we ordered food it took a long time to arrive.The one lady who helped me pay with my amex card wad very nice.Very conveniently located close to a wedding venue.

Stayed when going to my nieces wedding at the River Barn. Staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable and clean with great breakfast choice.We also ate in the restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Nice pub in great location. Just stopped for a drink and rest from being stuck in motorway traffic, but will be returning for meal very soon. Menu looks great.

Decided to try the Shard Riverside for a spot of lunch. The full menu looked very appealing, but we opted for the Sunday Roast, and so vet glad we did. The quality of the sunday roast was amazing. We had the chicken and the pork and both very tasty.Although the service was a little slow, and lacked some customer attention as I sat throughout without being asked if we needed anymore drinks, I have to say it was extremely busy, in fact there was not an empty seat in sight. The staff were so busy taking food orders and bringing out meals, I can forgive them the oversight. I had the option to walk to the bar, so staff focusing on food is ok with me. I will definitely be back to sample the mains menu.We sat outside with a coffee by the river to start and then moved into the restaurant for our meal.Very pleasant indeed.
