This pub has recently changed hands and the new owners are still settling in. A large booking for 15 people was taken whilst the previous owners were in charge. It was difficult to get in touch with the new owners due to their teething problems but once they were aware of the issue they promised to rectify it as soon as possible.
The chef is still the same and so the quality of food has been maintained. The service was a little slower than I would have liked, such as taking the orders but again I put that down to the server still getting used to his role. The good took time but this was due to it being a large order.
All the food came out at the same and was hot. The quality of the food was exceptional and I would heartily recommend this to anyone.

The food here is good home cooked food and reasonably priced, unfortunately the service was extremely slow and one order was incorrect.
We waited for over 40 minutes after ordering and saw others get served before us when they came in a long while after us.
It wasn't busy either so I don't know what went wrong in the kitchen.

My son and I have visited for the past few weeks as we like real chips lol but the food is very nice. We would not go back if it wasn't.

We call here regularly. We eat out two or three times a week and I'm certainly not always satisfied with quite a few of the pub/restaurant food venue offerings I've encountered. Always good here in my opinion.

Eat here today and even though a little wait for food when it arrived wow mince pie was mega ,mash potato one of the best iv tasted ,staff were lovely updating all the time ie food waiting times but homemade food of this quality is well worth the wait, cheers guys I'm very hard to please even my daughter who had same as me was as impressed c u again soon

We were made feel welcome as soon as we walked in ,staff were very accommodating,the menu had a good selection,the food we ordered was very good and couldn't fault it.Theyre new owners but doing it well,the pub itself is quite worn but I'm sure they have some plans to revitalise it.

First time under New management and I must say it was fab..always checked to make sure everyone was happy and if any problems.
I had Gammon with Egg and Pineapple and then Strawberry Cheesecake. Full to bursting..would recommend..
