Unfortunately, there is no disinfectant spray or paper towels in the gym, and the machines are very dirty. Please look into this matter.

Was coming to share a review of how bad the staff are at this gym but reading passed reviews going back a long period of time it appears the management don?t care that the staff are lazy and unhelpful to paying guests so I?ll leave it at that- if you want a friendly gym with helpful staff and a nice environment to work out look elsewhere and don?t waste your time or money here!

Not great when you wake up early to attend your first spin class along with others and no one shows up to take the class and zero communication! Wouldn't recommend at all. Not first time it's happened either others say!

Been around the country in the last 9-10 years and only used Puregym as I?m used to its machines. I cancelled my membership and it expires next week, so still attending.
Worst Puregym by far. I didn?t describe the reason for 1 star previously, however as I received a message from the Puregym I will describe the reason below:
1. Constant shower issues, 2 months ago two of the showers (out of 6) were out of order and until a few days after that only staff found out those were not working.
2. Cold showers for over a week! They finally put a note on the door that it?s cold water! Shower must be an emergency to fix but it?s going for the second week with cold water I guess.
3. Shower rooms are horrible! Dirty, not any baskets or something that you could put your shampoos or belongings. You have to drop those on the dirty floor.
4. Machines are all old, cross trainers are all rusty! One day those will break while someone is on it and Puregym will have to pay a good fine for that as someone could get seriously injured.
4. As per yesterday, at least 3 treadmills are out of order in the lower ground, some with error on screen, some just not moving well.
5. Hand dryer in male changing room out of order.
6. Not enough attachments for cable machines (two ropes only for the whole gym).
7. Gym is dusty! Even thought last weekend all staff tried to clean it, just look at above cardio machine in the lower ground, cable route is all full of dust! Easily can be inhaled.
8. I never seen these many PT?s in one small gym, but still they don?t notice machines, showers,? are out of order.
All above suggests the manager probably never exercise in this gym to know the issues. I?ve seen in other Puregym pts and managers inspect everything and sign their names,? here not sure.

If you go the gym to actually do a workout it's perfect! Clean, always open, everything you need and staff always around to help! If you go the gym for any other reason you'll probably be moaning about something and giving it 1 star.

I'm still waiting to hear back from them about an abusive incident that happened to me on Wednesday 13th November. I haven't been able to attend the gym as a result despite emailing and reporting it to the manager.

I've been training at Kirkby since it's closer to my job, and also at Aintree, where the equipment seems old or broken. While training at Aintree, doing Arnold presses, the bench suddenly tilted, and I nearly injured my arm. Upon inspection, I found that the bench's rear leg was crooked.As for Kirkby, training there is nearly impossible due to the constant loud music. When classes are in session, we're bombarded with two different tracks blaring simultaneously. The noise level is so high that I can't even hold a conversation with my workout partners.Additionally, the gym was without a water fountain for two weeks. Anyone needing water had to resort to using the sink in the toilet. My wife has also noted that the toilets frequently lack paper, and when I brought this up with the manager, she asked me to wait, as she was occupied with a casual conversation.This situation at both gyms is quite frustrating and makes for a poor training environment.

What an absolute dump! You definitely do get what you pay for.Theres also a blonde woman who looks like she has about ten shots of steroids a day who hogs the equipment every morning. Puts her towels on machines, and then stops anyone from using it, even when she?s on something else. Dare say anything to her and you?ll see every vein pop up on her, as I discovered! Waste of time saying anything to the staff as they?re all clearly pally with her. Absolutely disgusting gym, hostile environment and needs an update. Staff just walk around doing nothing or sit in the office downstairs.

Weakest gym in the local area for gym equipment and overall product. Sadly it toils with a difficult floor layout.Gym kit is retro matrix variations and split between two floors.The freeweights is half man cave with cardio kit facing a KFC drive thru.One positive. It's one of the few gyms in the area open on Christmas day.
