We have always enjoyed visiting this establishment, but after our recent visit?our first in a couple of years?we regret to say we will not be returning.
While we understand rising costs and industry challenges, we were shocked by the pricing. Two simple hot chocolates and two slices of cake totaled £24?excessive for a café rather than a high-end patisserie.
The menu structure also felt unnecessarily complex, with unclear food availability. Despite the menu stating baked potatoes were unavailable, we saw a waitress serve one, adding to the confusion.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we hope the proprietor reconsiders the pricing and menu.

We have been to Ma Bakers a number of times for a snack at lunchtime but on Sunday we had the roast chicken dinner.
It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was chunky and plentiful, lovely veg and the roast potatoes were just perfect.
Should you have room for a sweet there are lovely looking cakes, puddings and ice cream.
The lady on the till is lovely and always has time for a chat.
Would definitely recommend paying a visit.

Great place for breakfast, Lunch and anything else you may like to eat! Always stop when visiting World of Water as husband loves to buy anything connected with fishing ? you also see some very interesting customers!

Not been for some time and was always great for egg, chips and beans. Best chips around. Visited 17th June and was surprised that the chips were now "skin on". No mention in the menu but not a fan of lazy chips. Wedges have skin on, chips should be peeled. It is no wonder that fries are becoming more popular than chips.

Came for lunch with husband. I only wanted the toast but they will NOT serve light bites between 12pm and 2pm. This is absurd. I will not be bullied into buying more than I have an appetite for. In this day and age it is shameful to be encouraging food waste and extortionate prices. Will not be coming here again!

Shameful that a call was made Saturday morning to cancel Mother?s Day Afternoon Tea?s, this was due to not feeling well enough following a Mastectomy on the Wednesday, told by a staff member that we could cancel and use as a credit, weren?t asking for a refund, then got a call saying the owner had overruled and had to come and collect them.Shameful behaviour, no compassion and have lost a regular customer and their friends and family.
