Got to Toby Carvery Morecambe at 10.40 knowing breakfast finishes at 11. Waited until 10.50 for someone to come to seat us. Was told to be quick and pay at the bar then go and choose what we wanted because they were getting ready for lunch. I said we have waited for 10 minutes to which the girl replied, it does say pay at the bar. It does say wait to be seated! The guy at the bar said ?Sarah has told us we haven?t to serve anymore ? So we left and went somewhere else. Perhaps breakfast actually stops at 10.30 NOT 11, but to be honest, this isn?t very good customer service. Just to add there was a counter full of food, which would probably go to waste!

The roast was nice. Jack's was lovely, couldn't have done more, made our night spectacular. She was very attentive and friendly. An asset to the Toby Carvery.

We often visit The Toby Carvery in Morecambe and have always been very happy with the experience , that is untill today . They were very busy which is great to see . We waited in a queue to be shown to our table . A male member of staff was at the desk . When our turn came he walked off to clean tables and we were left waiting . He eventually returned and asked if everything was ok . My husband replied not really we have been ignored . We were down to our table by the same bake member of staff . He asked us if we wanted pigs in blankets , a question I have never been asked before . I thought he was asking if we wanted them as a starter. When I questioned this he said Iam asking you a simple question , do you want pigs in blankets all you have to do is say yes or no . This was in a crowded Resturant and icwas made to feel completely stupid . That behind us we sat down ready to queue for our carvery. My husband went first . When my turn came to join the queue there was a lady in the queue in front of me . As she got to the counter she was joined by the rest of her family who jumped over the barrier and joined her , all demanding different things on different plates . By this time I was very stressed and left the queue without a meal . On paying the bill we were served by the same male member of staff who seated us in the beginning . I feel he needs to learn some people skills and perhaps smarten himself up a bit . To add insult to injury I was charged over £3 for a drink I didn?t have . . I must add a very sweet female member if staff was very understanding of the whole situation .

We was taken to our seats by a member of staff, once settled i then had to go to a member of staff at the bar to ask if we need to pay first and to order drinks which I was told it's tabke service which I didn't mind but their was no staff in the top area, so on my way to get food I ordered my drinks with Michelle which was on the table by time we got back ? a little bit into eating our food Jack's was talking about reviews to a ganily on another table and hasn't had one in 4 years and the guy said he'd do it their and then and she stood and watched him till he finished he mentioned a tip and she said we don't do it by card as the company gets that and another girl was tipped 40 and she only got £1 odd so tip it's cash, but we'd finished our food and while she's talking I was making eye contact as I'd said when she took our plates I'd like pudding in a little bit so I kept making eye contact but still talking to the customers then she walked off so I had to get up again and speak to Michelle which then she must of told Jack's she came straight to my table. During my time their a couple and 2 children sat next to us one child with autism only vocal woth noises I looked over smiling at them as the boy was making noises and the parent was playing woth him and was nice to see, Jack's turned round saw me looking then turned back to the lady and said don't worry at all if anyone has a problem with it they can leave, which made me feel really bad so once Jack's left I spoke to the customer and said honestly I didn't mind I was looking over smiling and i have a son with autism but only mild, to me it's normal and she was lovely, but Jack's made me feel really bad,
Michelle gave us a lovely greeting as we walked thru the doors and sat us down amd she helped with anything i needed as I had to go upto her twice she was lovely, reece is a star always smiling away and makes a lovely latte, the chef was trying to have a laugh with the plates back and forth then went to cut the turkey then just walked off didn't see him for a good 5 mins didn't even say a word, food was lovely though,

had the 2 course midweek special, I had prawn cocktail, got loads of prawns and hubby had bbq chicken which he said was good, both had carvery which was tasty and better Yorkshires than what we've had lately. we had the best server than we've ever had there, her name was Jack's. very friendly, pleasant, attentive even though they were busy. also the lady that checked us in was very nice, didn't get her name but she was a supervisor. well done guys!

We enjoyed the food when we visited this week, except the peas which appeared to be a mix of a freshly cooked batch thoroughly combined with yesterdays batch of dry hard off colour peas.
We were disappointed with our server Jacks. She pretty much ignored us, we had to flag her down every single time. We asked for the bill after our main course, as we said we didn?t want dessert. She twisted my arm that the kids should have pudding because it?s included in the price. I had already made her aware of the 25% newsletter signup code we had, we?d even discussed it to some extent, and I?d shown it to her on my phone. So she brought the kids puddings. When she eventually had the time to bring the bill, we were charged the kids 2 course meals plus the additional kids puddings. When I questioned her, and explained that she knew i had a 25% off so shouldn?t have told me the pudding was free if that?s how it works, she ran off saying she?d see what she could do. Clearly she had no intention of doing so, as she totally ignored us again until we eventually flagged her down to pay her.
Also, I did complain (privately) on your website, but complaining publicly seems more appropriate in the absence of a private reply.

We stopped here after a visit to Morecambe. 4 choices of meat ,all looked delicious. Unfortunately the two meat I had ( turkey and lamb had no taste, no seasoning) but thankfully they weren't dry.
The veg on display looked vety sorry for itself. All dried out and not appetising at all. The best bit was the Yorkshire pudding and the cranberry sauce. The mashed potatoes had black bits inside and no not pepper. Bigger bits like bad parts of the potato but not taken out. Very off putting.
Toby carvery boasts of ' the world's best gravy" but in actual fact it was so watery it could run off the plate . Not the best, the worst!
Very disappointed and will certainly give Toby carvery a wide, wide birth in future.
