I have been having problems with my my Specsavers Advance hearing aids going back a few times to the St Anne's Audiology Centre. I never got the issues resolved till today when I was seen by Joanne she made me feel at home straight away and offered me a new hearing test. The hearing test went well as I felt more at ease and could hear more of the audio. After the test Joanne reprogrammed my hearing aids and what a difference in just a few minutes. I asked about better aids and she explained that the technology had moved on and I could have the same aids but with better technology. However she may have sorted my existing aids I am going to give it a couple of months. She also got my phone working with my aids yet again. Upto this point I had considered going to another supplier thanks Joanne.

Went in as an NHS patient. Was tested by a very polite trainee, there was another lady present who was busy with a laptop, who was inputting my information. I received the aids and had a few issues getting used to them. I persevered as I didn?t want to go back.Sometime after I received a text message informing me that I had an appointment for the next morning, upon arrival I informed the receptionist of my name to be told that I did not have an appointment, I showed her the text message.A ?director? entered the fray, discussions between themselves on technical issues?The director took me into an office and checked the aids, I told her that I was not impressed with the whole experience.Entered the shop on another occasion to request batteries only to be told that I?m required to phone for them, I informed her that I had been told on my first visit to walk in or call, she gave me the batteries and told me to call in future.Today one of the aids wasn?t working, so I called to request replacement tubes/earpieces, very efficient fast call. At the end of the conversation the phone was SLAMMED down before I had removed my handset from my ear. Beyond rude.One saving grace was the help from two ladies regarding issues logging into the app. If I had a choice to directly use the NHS for my hearing aid services I would, my overall experience with Spec Savers St Anne?s has not been been a good one!

I previously had a disappointing experience with Specsavers at a branch in the Midlands, and decided to try to get some improvement without a further huge expense, by going through the NHS. I was not particularly optimistic when I discovered all my appointment options were with Specsavers branches. However, the care and professionalism given by the team in St Annes was amazing, with special thanks to Lynsey, the audiologist. I now have hearing aids that enable me to hear things I haven't heard in years. I am absolutely delighted with my treatment, and only wish I had come to the St Annes branch seven years ago!

I was referred by my GP practice, having noticed a deteriation in my (hearing aids assisted) hearing. The attention I received from Charlotte was first class- friendly, attentive and thorough. After an assessment she concluded that I needed new hearing aids and supplied them, tuned to my hearing needs. Brilliant service!

Hmmm - a bit of a broken process this - I saw a doctor last week and was told I didn't need a referral for an hearing test - but Specsavers can only do a screening test without a referral. When I rang my surgery - they didn't seem to know how to generate a referral. I guess it's multiple trips and still no-one has looked in my ears to survey wax I'm guessing it'll take 3 visits.
