Very surprised to experience customer service far below the standard that I?m used to in other Nero coffee houses on Feb 10. Experienced the not-so-pleasant, bored and blonde Saturday girl duo who gave an astonishingly accurate portrayal of entitled, uninterested, above?their station baristas. It takes a lot for me to have to turn to some form of review like this but sadly the customer service by these two were appalling, especially for Nero, who have in the past provided nothing but sophisticated, polite, caring, warm service staff with a willingness to not just smile with sincerity but go the extra mile to ensure your Nero experience is a satisfactory one (just by being friendly is a start). Unfortunately the two blonde girls serving gave you the impression that you were lucky to be served by them. Now I know I?ve heard a lot these days of people saying ?where has customer service gone?? generally but this isn?t something I?ve EVER experienced at a Nero coffee shop. But the two young girls in question need to be trained not just on making the drinks but on basic common courtesy, communicating manners properly and ensuring the customer is made to feel comfortable and at ease with the experience. When you?re paying near to £5 per drink, on any normal Nero visit is worth the money, but when you?re treated like a second rate citizen with their nonchalant attitude and unsympathetic and detached manner, all of a sudden, the drink becomes irrelevant and it really does affect your all-round experience to the point where you don?t want to visit this place again. A friend I was with remarked quite accurately afterwards ?well they were a bit sour? and SOUR is EXACTLY what they were! Even approaching the till to place the order, they were more concerned about continuing their conversation than tend to a paying customer. I understand sometimes it must be exhausting being face to face with potentially unsavoury customers all day and must be tiring being on your feet all that time, but please don?t put your self-importance in the face of a customer who is simply their to enjoy a coffee in their favourite coffee shop. It?s a real shame, totally put me off returning to the St Annes cafe. Your pompous adolescent behaviour is a disgrace and huge disservice to Nero. You either have forgotten customer service or have never known it.Either way, climb down off your pedestals, you have a lot to learn!

This is a decent place to go to for a good sit-down and a coffee. The pictures are quite decorative and the building is spacious and staff are friendly. Good snacks and cakes available too if you are feeling up to it:)

Nice, clean with good coffee we like Nero, had the best one in Nero in York by the minster this was ok but didn't reach those heights. Staff decent service good coffee good thanks.

Normal Caffe Nero experience, better than the other chains and some independents, though details not as sharp as they used to be, such as hand dryer out of order and a leak rendering one side of the window seating unavailable.. But this seems a common standard particularly in the chains currently.

Caffe Nero have a dog friendly policy. Based on today's experience of a loud dog barking frequently in the middle of the room this should be reconsidered. Toilets absolutely disgusting and not checked regularly and coffee very average.

Really gone downhill this Nero. It's dirty, the coffee isn't great and it looks like it needs a complete refurbishment. The staff are rude, well this young lady was particularly rude this morning - choosing to engage with her social life and carrying on a boring conversation with a friend before even acknowledging me, nevermind taking my order and completing said order. There's a few longterm members of staff who are great but the younger ones are awful.This Nero needs a complete refurbishment and more commitment.

Best coffee in st Anne's. Much better than Costa and (although I love independent coffee shops) more consistent than others in the area. Decor is as normal for cafe Nero. Too few outdoor seats is the only thing letting this one down.

Needs a very good clean, I don?t know when the last time the baby change was properly cleaned and disinfected, it was so disgusting. We arrived at 4.50 and although they close at 6, half the cafe was closed off and we were given our drinks in takeaway cups. Drinks were mediocre at best. Whole atmosphere is tired. Go somewhere else.
