AKS occupies an extensive site in the heart of Lytham St. Annes, in a magnificent and historic building overlooking the Ribble Estuary and Irish Sea, with superb playing fields, including an international standard artificial all-weather sports ground.? Over 9 million pounds has been invested into the school over the last 24 months, resulting in: a brand new Junior School, a new sports hall, a new library, a new drama studio, new Sixth Form facilities, new ICT facilities, refurbished D&T facilities, new science laboratories, and interactive whiteboards in every classroom.? In 2014 our GCSE results were among the best ever from either legacy school, with 25% of grades at A* and 50% of grades at A*/A. In addition, nearly two-thirds of our A level grades were at either A*, A or B and 42% were at A* or A. These were the leading results of any school in the Fylde and Wyre.? AKS Action is the fastest-growing co-curricular group across the whole school, with students at every age engaging with community projects, learning through service, and understanding the values of social responsibility as an important part of their education.?
