We were extremely impressed with the food today, we stumbled across this place bank holiday Monday after a long hike. I had the salmon and my husband had peppercorn chicken. My salmon was HUGE and was cooked perfectly. I am fussy and will send things back if I am not happy with them! But this was superb, you can tell the chef knows what he is doing! My hubby was very happy with his meal too. Compliments to the chef!

Came in today 14th aug 2 adults 2 kids and absolutely loved the service the food was top class the lady behind the bar with blonde hair was so nice and brilliant with the kids the chef did an amazing pepper sauce my fella said better than mine ( not happy lol) no really was so tasty

We called in to The Alston on the way to our holiday accommodation and we were not disappointed. Great menu choice, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and the food was beautiful...all as fresh as a daisy and the 8 year old appreciated the free Wi-Fi.

Stopped for lunch and was not disappointed. Sandwiches were lovely. Really nice honey roast ham, thick cut with loads of salad and a decent salad on the side. Service was impeccable. Thanks.
