Went in here for a drink the other evening and disappointed to find that not long after 9pm last orders were being called so customers entering shortly after we're refused service albeit politely. But the worst aspect of it was although the pub was well decorated and adorned with several large screen TV and good seating areas it was badly let down by the loud foul language banter between some customers and the barmaid in the bar area and in my opinion totally unacceptable in the main lounge area of a local pub. I wouldn't consider taking family in here for a meal in an evening with this type of atmosphere and suggest few would. I won't be going in here again whilst it is run in such a manner and would rather travel into nearby pubs in Leyland where you don't have to put up with such poor standards when out with family and friends enjoying a social evening out.

Popped in for lunch while on a visit to Chorley from Scotland. Great friendly atmosphere, food was delicious and excellent service. Happened to be a cider festival while we were there and they had great music and entertainment on.

The food was great and the service was amazing, the lady who served us went above and beyond. Plus she knew the menu well enough to advise me too. I thought she was so lovely to us, I'd go back.
I can't give the atmosphere 5* because there wasnt anyone in really which is great for the quiet!

Had a really nice afternoon at The Woodsman. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and the service was great. Leigh looked after us she was professional, upbeat, and had a great sense of humour. Made the visit even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!
