In general the staff are very good , And up to now iv had no need to complain. Went in on Thursday the 16/11/23 to pick up new batteries for my hearing aids ? To be told sorry we have none in stock .I said could you tell me when there will be some in , Sorry don?t know . Took my name and number I?m still waiting? But struggling to hear anything, To me there not full filling there contract with the NHS , And they should always make sure they have enough batteries for there customers, Managers get a grip

I went to collect my daughters glasses and usually the team are incredibly understanding and helpful as I am a head injury survivor and get very confused and have short term memory problems. This time I didn't understand what I was supposed to be doing and a woman that works there got noticeably annoyed with me and made me feel not only like a burden but like I was really unwelcome.This also really upset my 9 year old who couldn't understand why someone who works in a shop could/would be so nasty to a disabled person which I had to explain that some people just don't have empathy.I'm incredibly disappointed with the service and now no longer want to use specsavers for me or my family again.

Attended my 2 yearly eyetest on Monday morning at 08:45 to be told I had a tear in my retina and they were referring me to Chorley Hospital.2hrs later Chorley Hospital ring me telling me to attend an appointment at 3:15.At 4pm I was having emergency surgery to repair 2 tears in my retina.I cannot recommend the staff enough at this shop as if they had not reacted as fast as they did the outcome I was told would have been a lot worse.Thankyou for the telephone call at 5pm checking on my welfare.Many thanks

I haven't had my eyes tested for years and needed some new glasses. The staff, I think her name was Julie, was brilliant helping me choose a pair of glasses as I really struggled to pick a pair I thought I suited.

Tried to find somewhere to take ear impressions for some motorbike hearing protection. Asked last week and was told its not done regularly. I can understand that and the member of staff went and did some research to find out if its a service they offer. After some time they explain it can be done in store and give me a price. I asked them to check again and they insist thats the price. Ok I thought and booked my appointment including taking the time off work. Arrive for my appointment and asked what I am looking for. I explained and was told they dont do this service. Told them I had already been through this discussion with another member of staff last week. They called someone on their phone and then told me they could do it but the price was now double. Already taken the time off work and really disappointed in this service. Certainly wont be a customer of this branch any longer.

Several years ago I had an appointment at a Specsavers in another town. I was 5 mins late for my appointment because I was held up in traffic as a result of traffic being diverted from the M6 onto A 59. All beyond my control. I was told I could not see the optician and could not make an appointment later in the day. ( it was an emergency). No effort was made to help me at all. I was totally dissatisfied and vowed never to go to a spec savers again because of the poor customer service. Today I needed a chain to hold my glasses and the only shop available was the Specsavers in Leyland. Nothing has changed regarding customer service. I waited for over 10 minutes at the counter and nobody acknowledged or spoke to me. I appreciate that the assistants were busy with customers but good customer service should mean that you acknowledge the presence of the customer and explain that some one will be with them soon. To leave a customer standing for over 10 mins without even making eye contact is appalling. The lady who did eventually serve me was actually one of the opticians who had just finished for the day. She did apologise and say she would pass on my dissatisfaction but I felt I had to make a comment myself. I was very polite in my exchange with the young woman.I know this is longwinded but it the context was important. I rarely leave poor reviews and I am quick to acknowledge good service. My experience today has confirmed that I was correct to avoid Specsavers for all these years and I will continue to do so because customer service is not a priority,;at least in this store.

Useless. Book a hearing test for obvious reasons, I can't hear as well as I used to be able to. Miss one single call from them during working hours when I am not allowed on my phone. Check my emails later on to find Jumanah from this place has cancelled my appointment as she was unable to determine whether I needed I test or not. Why on earth do you think I booked one?! Because I thought I was going blind? Of course I need a test!! Honestly... and to make matters worse, I email back and get completely blanked, great customer service. Complete waste of time, only upside is I don't have to go in and listen to that buffoon Jumanah, don't think I'd be able to hear her much anyway, not that she would believe that ?????

Everyone was really friendly and nice, except the actual optition himself. Made me feel like a child the way he was talking to me when talking about my contact lenses. Wouldn't let me actually talk and give him answers

Told to take my 96 year old farther back to doctors to have ear wax cleared to do audio test. NHS don't do ear wax removal anymore! You have to go to Specsavers and pay 55 pounds !
