Visited here Saturday 30th August to celebrate my 50th birthday. There was 18 of us in total. The staff were fabulous, couldn?t do enough for us and the food was amazing. Thank you so much for making my birthday that little bit more special.

We've had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The food came quickly which was brilliant for our kids. The roast itself was very nice, but the starters were brilliant. The waitresses were all thrilled to see our dog and brought him out a sausage.

Great Sunday Lunch, arrived slightly early but no problem at all and was shown to the table.
3 courses for £29 or 3 child/small portion courses for £19.
Top service, really friendly and welcoming and the food was faultless.

This is a super pub with great food - make sure to book as it is so popular- deservedly so. Prices are very good and the quality is really high- I had a delicious sea bass today and it was perfect. Plenty of choice and they do half portions of many options for those with smaller appetites and for kids - We walked on the canal path right by the pub - tranquil and some lovely views and a fabulous heron - great experience ??

So i came here with my partner for our anniversary.
I made sure to book well in advance to ensure we got a table. I booked for 6pm.
6:10 we placed our order
6:20 a waitress came and asked if we had received our started, we said we hadn?t and she ran off to the kitchen.
6:30 we received our starter (we only ordered one)
It took until 7:30 to get our two mains, which were fish and chips and sausage and mash.
We were offered a free soft drink and told that the kitchen was running slow. But, we saw a table of 8 who were all served a good 30 minutes before us (bare in mind they came in after us).
We are not the type to sit and have a drink or take our time, we typically are in and out in an hour but we were here for over 2 hours (one starter, 2 mains were all that was ordered).
It was also a bit of a kick in the teeth to see one of the chefs out chatting with the locals (i assume his friends)whilst we were still waiting to be served. I appreciate he doesn?t need to be bound to the kitchen, but when the place is busy, his priority should be with his job in the kitchen.
It did seem like a lovely pub and everyone in there was happy. Its just a shame it felt like they forgot about our order.

Great place, a community lead and friendly pub. A vast space which includes a garden front garden parking and canal bank access!

Visited last week . Lovely glass of pinot blush in the garden with some sandwiches and sides . chef kindly cooked us an extra of the Brie special because he felt the first one he sent was a little small it was beautiful so we welcomed the extra piece although the first was absolutely fine for us ?? thank you
