Great for a uni night out if you pick the right day, Wednesday is usually the best time to go if not during exam season when the second floor is closed and not many people go. Because they are nerds trying to study. The second floor is underated in my opinion mainly cause it plays better music and no the same songs on repeat like on the main floor. Never had anything bad to say to the staff and nice bouncers too.

to be fair got kicked out for being too drunk in october and didn't have a dangerous or negative interaction with the bouncers.

Decent nightclub, please sort the music out though on the non special event nights the music is terrible, same songs. It?s very safe in there

Bouncers at sugar house don't respect their house rules. Don't come here if you want a decent experience but sadly it's one of the few night clubs in lancs

Best nightclub in Lancaster, good with covid measures, good music, plenty of security and reasonable drink prices

Staff are very concerned with safety of students, which is reassuring. However, music is a little repetitive and the theme nights can be a bit tame.

Don't expect a great night. Student friendly. Long queues for so-so drinks. Sticky floors and smelly bathrooms. Attracts a crowd so if you like that, it's OK. Music fits the club well, staff is friendly

Sugar house is good for nice ambience, and friendly customers and cheap-enough drinks.\\n\\nBouncers are a luck of the draw, most are lovely, some just always seem angry. I get it's part of the job description, but still. Personally never had an issue, or seen one.\\n\\nBut the sugar house seriously needs to work on it's music. I'm sorry but myself, all my friends, and essentially all I've spoken to for that matter, have said that it's just god awful. The dj relies on the same singalong tracks every night and it's almost infuriting. SUGAR I AM BEGGING YOU. Change your music. I understand you want an all encompassing environment, but most people, I guarantee, would prefer deep house/ drum and bass. Singalong club classics are great from time to time, but not all night! Please sort it out.\\n\\nUntil I hear of change I'm going glow, who's with?

Reading the reviews on here just makes me realize how much student Life must have changed. 15 years ago this place was amazing on a Thursday and Friday night, cheap drinks, sticky floors and cheese music

Bouncers are very unreasonable, rude and are prone to violence. They seem to enjoy pushing their weight around and have said that they can and do kick people out for no reason. This is something they take advantage of regularly. I will never return here again.
