I had a really good experience at Specsavers. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, and the optician took the time to explain everything clearly. I was also impressed with how quickly my glasses were ready. Really happy with the service!

I have been a regular customer for many years without mishap. This time was different, eye test 23 June, (no change in prescription apparently). After 2 weeks new glasses supplied, hopelessly out of focus at distance. Offered a retest and told the first prescription was too strong (eh?). Waited 2 more weeks, then on arrival at store, told glasses had failed a test and to come back again another day. On my return I was given new glasses I was told to wait 2 further weeks for sunglasses on the same prescription. On arrival yesterday, with no contact from Specsavers
, but wishing to know when my glasses would be ready, I
discovered they hadn?t even been ordered, despite me forking out
£320! I am not convinced this latest prescription is right either. My eyes are struggling to stay focussed!
I am now (30 August ) waiting a further 2 weeks for these sunglasses. Staff were evasive and not even one of them apologised for any inconvenience caused. Given a choice I'd go back to my old glasses, but have lost the old sunglasses.
Will be shopping around next time for a better deal and service.

Lancaster branch are excellent. Very professional, helpful and friendly. Keep you informed at all stages and good price especially as I'm with the contact lens scheme.

If I could give two gradings I would . Due to my first visit I'd give it 1* however I've given them 5 stars due to the amazing Catherine . I had an eye test on Tuesday and was given a new prescription. The optition said someone would be with me to help me choose some glasses and go through all my options. No one appeared I had chosen 2 pairs of glasses a lady was stood at the welcome desk . I explained I need help purchasing the glasses she looked confused . Kept saying so you've had an eye test today. Long story short sat down with her at a desk . She didn't go through the pricing options with me gave me a high figure didn't explain the options of the lenses I required . I asked if I could deduct the certain lense this have me a different figure to be greeted with that's 117 pound that's better isn't it are you paying card or cash today. I hadn't even had the glasses checked to see if these were ok on my face or anything apart from on measurement. On Wednesday I rang the store Harry answered the call I explained I wasn't happy with the previous days experience he was a real breath of fresh air told me the manager would call me bk within a few minutes. The manager was on his lunch so Harry called me back to say it would be about an hr. Andrew the manger called me back and offered for me to meet him today at 1pm and he would see what he could do for me. I arrived in store and explained I had an appointment to be told he's just gone on his lunch. Catherine asked me to have a seat with her . She asked if I could explain what had happened . She was so polite caring and empathetic. Catherine got the frames I had choosen and fitted them for me and corrected the measurements from tuesday and offered me some great compensation for the poor level of service I had received previously. Whilst I was sat with Catherine I could hear staff members dealing with customers they were really helpful and made sure the customers were happy. I had my 10 year old son with me and he commented on the difference in staff too the lady I had previously experienced. I knew I wasn't expecting to much as I have previously used a different spec savers and have always had a great service. Thank you so much Catherine for your time and dedication to your customer service you've restored my faith in the Lancaster store . I look forward to collecting my new glasses in the not so near future

Purchased 2pairs of glasses from a different specsaver store.I was really struggling with the new glasses so apprehensively popped into Lancaster specsavers (apprehensive because I didn?t purchase from them)
I needn?t have worried as the team here treat me incredibly under the circumstances after a consultation with Gail it was decided to do a retest and turns out my prescription hadn?t changed and the new glasses with the new prescription were wrong. Advised to get a refund from other store.

I visited Specsavers in Lancaster yesterday (2 Aug 25) and had a great experience. After a short wait, the audiologist (a locum) called me in. He was excellent from the start ? clear, professional, and easy to talk to. He explained each step of the process, checked my ears, and carried out the hearing test thoroughly.
Afterwards, he went through the results in a way that was easy to understand. He clearly knew his stuff and quickly put me at ease.
Top marks to him ? very knowledgeable and approachable. I highly recommend Specsavers in Lancaster for anyone needing hearing checks or advice.
