Horrible customer service, I paid for my item and was IDed after I already purchased it. The lady, albeit likely overworked, was quite rude and unwelcoming, the mood and atmosphere in the shop is enough to turn me away from returning.

Messy inaccessibile isles, poorly staffed, badly managed and overpriced

The store is so inaccessible for wheelchair users - the aisles are more than wide enough, but spare stock, stools, and trolleys are left all over the place, making it impossible to navigate the store independently. About 50% of the time the staff help by moving stuff, but others will just stare or even make jokes about it! The self checkout tills are also impossible to use in a wheelchair independently, which isn't the point of 'self' checkouts.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident I recently experienced at Spar Lancaster university.The quality of the fruit goods I purchased was questionable, exhibiting signs of being stale and unappetizing. However, the response I received from the store clerk not only failed to address the issue adequately but also included discriminatory remarks that left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.I immediately noticed an unpleasant smell and detected signs of being past their freshness. I approached the store clerk to express my concern and seek a resolution. Instead of acknowledging the problem and offering a suitable solution, the clerk dismissed my complaint and denied any responsibility.During our interaction, not only one person made several remarks that were discriminatory and inappropriate. For instance, when I raised my concerns about the freshness of the fruits, they insinuated that my judgment was incorrect and questioned my ability to determine freshness. The clerk's comments not only undermined my credibility but also made me feel targeted and discriminated against as a non-native student.I want to emphasize that my intention was never to seek a refund but rather to have my concerns acknowledged and receive a sincere apology. As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of my background or ethnicity. The behavior and attitude displayed by the store clerk were deeply disappointing and do not align with the values of inclusivity and customer service.On the other hand, I have been shopping at this store for two years now, the last time the fruit went bad I chose to believe was an accident so no complaints, but this is the second time so I choose to believe it was not an accident. But this thing makes me feel very hurt, I never give a bad review to a store, because I believe that the clerk also has his own work, but this is the first time I received such hurt, and will not choose here in the future.

Gone down hill ever since being taken over. Massively overpriced for students which is a disgrace, they seem to open the hot counter when they can be bothered, I say the uni should sack them off and get an Aldi in to replace it.

Wouldnt shop here change prices on a daily basis and they have an area manger called james watss who bullies his staff baring in mind there disabled and suffer with mental health problems they do nothing but bully people they dont like
