Good choice of LPs and if you've the time and inclination you'll bag a bargain.Sadly another outlet that puts its better stuff on line. They do slip up though!

A little treasure trove with a good range of books.

I continue to visit here regularly and often find the unexpected, however, I've found the staff to be particularly unhelpful. For example I've found the first and third book in a series, politely asked if the second book is in the back, I get told no.I can come in a day later and the book is on the shelf. The prices for books do seem to be creeping up (or inconsistent) £3.49 for a small softback isn't quite the bargain it once was.

I have so much respect for volunteers - especially those working now during the pandemic. You guys are amazing. But, this is the only charity shop in Lancaster that I feel uncomfortable every time I go in. There is a man who I believe is the manager that spends his time loudly "bantering" or flirting with female volunteers rather than tending to to customers and behaving professionally. The culture of that Oxfam store compared to the Oxfam book store near by couldn't be different. If I was part of Oxfam's senior management team I would send a secret shopper in there and I guarantee you they won't be pleased with what they witness.
