I just wanted to write a special mention about Jean from today at 1.15pm in Lancaster. For the quick 5 minutes that I was in the store, Jean went out of her way to help the 2 people in front of me on the tills. The first was a lady who she advised that if she picks one more item up it would be free (on a 3 for 2 offer). The second was an old man buying a loaf of bread, he handed her the £1 and she offered to help him count his change instead to "make his pockets lighter". Jean really is the definition of "going the extra mile". Both of these services were unnecessary but was incredibly kind of her. It's very rare to see people take such care in customer service these days but is very heart warming to see.

I went to iceland because they have an amazing deal 10 items for £10 so I thought because I had £20 left I might aswell get 2 £10 deals and pay with £20 but when I got to the check out it's seems that I have pay an extra £10 because the system they use don't factor in the second deal. So I told them there was 2 £10 deals and it should be £20 because that's what it says for the deal it doesn't state that you can't get the same deal twice in one order so I don't get the reason why I had to pay an extra £10 because system didn't factor in the second deal this really annoying and false advertising please get them educated on how to count.

I worked here for about 2 years, after moving from Preston. I worked every shift under the sun, a 5am start, a 12 hour open until close, a late night. The staff at this store are such a lovely group of people, they genuinely are all one family, they look out for one another, but will hold one another accountable. So approachable and so welcoming. Iceland is Iceland, it?s a chain supermarket they are all the same, but the staff at Lancaster are fantastic and should be proud of themselves.
