Terrible opening hours, been like it for years and was shrugged off by staff when I asked if they'd go back to a more reasonable closing time. Don't stand for it, will be moving to a new bank that's open for it it's customers.

Went in today 14/11/22 to move my savings to another BS 100 metres away where they give 5 times better interest rate than the miserable 0.45% the Halifax providesWas met by a young female who was so smug and full of her own self righteous pomposity she could almost have been trained by Nasty West BankSo 1 from 5 for savings interest rates and1 for customer service .. because I can?t give 0Terry Smith

Staff at most times very helpful, unfortunately Halifax management have decided to use COVID as an excuse to reduce the services offered to customers. The branch opening times used to be so useful before the pandemic especially on Saturday but now the branch closes at around 3pm weekdays and 1 pm weekends making it very difficult to find a time to actually go in and get the stuff I need doing done. Lockdown is over, stop making excuses and open back up.

The staff as others have said are very good. But the Halifax itself is farcical shortened hours being my main gripe .. Why are they opening such short hours countless times I arrive and they?re shut yet Santander over the street is still open. Recently all the banks were open in town apart from the Halifax. People who work cannot get into town for 3.30. Utterly ridiculous

For the most part all banks work the same so what makes this one so good is the staff. They are always friendly, understanding and willing to help!

I rate the in-branch staff a resounding 5. Always helpful & polite. However, I?d rate the overall admin of the Halifax organisation as little more than a 2. Its a creaking, incredibly frustrating organisation, and, as is the case with most banks nowadays, shows little regard for its customers. One simply doesn?t feel in the least bit valued. Today, for the second time, I?ve had a cheque returned unpaid and no clear explanation given as to why. These cheques total almost £20,000, so a significant amount of MY money that Halifax refuses to pay out. Quite shocking! I?ve just spent almost 1hr on the phone seeking an explanation for same. No joy. In fact I?m unable to speak directly with anyone in my local branch and all three separate advisors in call centres have said they too are unable to connect me. What on earth is going on! Meanwhile, I?ve just wasted an hour on the phone, will have to wait another week before I can physically walk into my local branch to sort this problem out directly with them...and a local, small, ultra reliable & hard-working business out there currently waits for a several thousands pounds payment its owed from me and which I?m trying to make. C?mon Halifax. Sort this out

I have an elderly mother who has saved with the Halifax for years. She's now 90 and struggles with mobility. It's becoming increasingly difficult to get my mother to the branch to discuss her finances. I phoned to speak to an advisor about possible options but apart from telephone banking and internet banking (not suitable for my mother) there are none. Elderly people are becoming more and more isolated especially those who live rurally as there is little or no public transport. Those who wish to speak to an advisor face to face, which i suspect is a lot, are struggling to do so. The best option it seems is to move her money to a place where it's more accessible, to a local bank......Poor customer service Halifax. Just not good enough.

I dread going in to the Lancaster branch as you always have to wait such a long time before getting served. The staff are friendly there just never seems to be enough of them? I waited approx 20mins in the queue today which I was 3rd in line when I started to queue. Seriously thinking of changing banks!

Great location, excellent staff. The machines are little dated, though. Store needs a bit of love and attention.
