“Great shop! Loads of bargains to be had. Big enough to stock everything you need, and a lot you didn't know you needed until you see now good value it is, but small enough for you not to think you've walked up everest at the end.

“I just wanted to write a special mention about Jean from today at 1.15pm in Lancaster. For the quick 5 minutes that I was in the store, Jean went out of her way to help the 2 people in front of me on the tills. The first was a lady who she advised that if she picks one more item up it would be free (on a 3 for 2 offer). The second was an old man buying a loaf of bread, he handed her the £1 and she offered to help him count his change instead to "make his pockets lighter". Jean really is the definition of "going the extra mile". Both of these services were unnecessary but was incredibly kind of her. It's very rare to see people take such care in customer service these days but is very heart warming to see.”

“Aldis has always been good quality for money staff always helpful and friendly definitely more bang for your buck the tools are well made and reliable never had a problem if I was to criticism Aldi it would be not enough disabled toilets I suffer with copd azmah and emphysema and need to have access allot of the time just a thought for management”

“I visit this shop regularly to buy Indian/Pakistani groceries - spices, pickles, chapattis, samosas, Bombay mix etc. There's a surprising selection all at reasonable prices, much better than the supermarkets. They occasionally have some nice Indian sweets too. There are also fresh fruits and vegetables to buyThe owner is very friendly - even though he is a Liverpool supporter!Went there at the weekend with my son and there were lots of Indian sweets. The jalebis were lovely. If you like them, it's worth ringing and finding out whether they have brought some in from Preston”

“It has all been renovated as now it looks better and has self checkouts. Small however lots of things. (Fresh bakery alcohol milk juice flourect pet food and lots more)”

“Lancaster sainsburys has one of the widest selection of foods of any sainsburys. The choice is broader than both the Morecambe and Preston superstores which are three times its size. The broad university and local cultural mix adds a lot of flavour to the choice. A gem.”

“It was a great shopping experience in Spar. I was a graduate student 8 years ago, and I went to Spar for some vegetables and fruits. However, it was so embarrassed that I could not tell the difference between coins while checking out at the counter, since I was a foreigner and not familiar with them. The employee who helped me check out was not happy about it. I felt so sorry and nervous. At that moment, an old gentleman, maybe shopkeeper I guess, he came to us and asked the employee to try to be nice to me, because I just didn’t get used to it. I was totally overwhelmed! He was such a warm and considerate person. Not sure whether he is still there or not. Anyway, thank you so much for giving me an impressive shopping experience!”

“Visited today at Ovangle Road, Morecambe, around 1pm, 30th December. I asked a young man where I could find a product. I wanted to commend him because he really went over and above to help. He wasn't sure where it was, but later he came running up with the product, small or large. I chose one. Then as I was looking for a tin opener he came up (he was working nearby) and pointed out the Asda product of the previous request, which was cheaper. I wanted to put in writing but there isn't a section for good service! Shame.”
