Food is very tasty i like the prawn fried rice but to my suprise i think the price is too much for a little serving takeaways compared to other Chinese. My toasted prawn is 2 pcs sliced i can get 5-6 to other. Not much prawn for a 7.50 small tub fried rice as well as soup. It was tasty but not well justified price for the amount of servings. Not worth the money.

Decidedly 'odd' service on this occasion. Visiting a couple of times a year & always in August for a birthday, despite only being a small party this year (mid week work commitments pruned our number) we booked the table ahead.
Two of us arrived early, waited on a friend, & asked for water which came. The same staff member repeatedly bobbed back to see if we were ready to order despite still missing third, who arrived at the booked time. Each time they reassure 'take as long as you like". On one visit the staff asked if we "are paying by cash or card" (why?) On the last bob back, just before our friend arrived they took away the drinks menu!
The birthday friend arrived, we made our food order, but we weren't asked about drinks, & the request for the return of the drinks menu went unheard - we decided water was fine (& cheaper).
Before the food arrived a staff member, NOT asking took away the chopsticks. Our stunned assumption must be it was assumed that three mature female Europeans can't use chopsticks? Erm, yes they can! For one of us it was particularly part of enjoying Chinese cuisine, so our friend said to the rapidly departing back (of staff member) "I want chopsticks"!
Otherwise the food was good. But our enjoyment was overshadowed by the very peculiar service we experienced; which impacted the general ambience & feel of our visit.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is iffy. Flat from street, difficult, but doable entrance to negotiate, Two/three 'suitable' tables downstairs; could be cramped. The other downstairs seating is on a platform so steps. The internal structure of an old building means the toilets are upstairs so don't expect to use the ' facilities' . Overall, not really suitable...

Ordered at 10pm and order never showed up called them 4 times and was told 20 mins but never showed up they were rude and won?t give a refund

Awful. I ordered at 17:59. Finally received at 19:52 after me calling to ask where my order was twice and being reassured once at 19:10 that it was 20 minutes away. The guy on the phone was rude and curt. He apologised but was offhand about it and slammed the phone down on me twice. Unprofessional and a terrible first experience with this takeaway. I won't be ordering from them again and will recommend my friends and family to AVOID.

It's been a while since I have eaten out at a Chinese restaurant and was excited for this. The food was a bit of a mixed bag though, we got one of the set meals which did seem slightly overpriced (although was actually a lot of food). The duck was very good and I enjoyed the pork fried rice (even if a little greasy). The hot and sour soup was a little too gloopy which made it unappetising and the rest of the dishes were just ok.

Worst experience ever.... Rude staff, liars, absolutely terrible service.Ordered around 2hrs ago via just eat, about 1.5hrs later phoned to check as had said out for delivery for 30 mins, said were not delivering until had a phone number, gave phone number and was told would be here in 30 mins.35 mins later nothing, so phoned them and was told by a rude manager would be another 30 mins a total of 2.5hrs wait... Advised him I'd spoken to a member of staff and had told me was only going to be 30 mins, he told me that the member of staff hadn't said that at all.Rude, liars, and wouldn't refund money immediately never ever recommend

For me the best Chinese restaurant in Lancaster and surrounding areas. Great food, fantastic service from waiters/waitresses and a very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your time and money.Unfortunately The Goldon Dragon is a shadow of its former self. None of the little inexpensive touches (like oranges, hot towels and a fortune cookie) at the end of your meal. The toilets were shabby with an old rusty radiator, wide open window and only very cold water to wash your hands (in the middle of winter) but the worst thing was paying with cash and not getting any change let alone a receipt. The Golden Dragon is an expensive takeaway with tables, not a restaurant.Very disappointing and not somewhere I will be returning.
