The 9 of us were treated like royalty for an afternoon tea on cruise boat "Romance". We were offered drinks of our choice and crisps. We were served sandwiches, amazing mini desserts and coffee or tea. The boat was tastefully decked out, scenery was beautiful as we smoothly sailed along, and the staff were wonderful. The whole experience was so therapeutic and we all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Would recommend, and we're definitely returning. Thank you Riley Canal Cruises.

My wife and I hired out the Romance boat for our intimate wedding reception. The service provided by Bridie and the team was absolutely exceptional. They could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating with us in terms of what we were looking for. The trip itself, the food cooked, and the service received, was perfect. We could not have had a better day and would highly recommend Canal Boat Cruises to anyone looking for an afternoon out, or to hire for an event.

My partner and I have just spent 2 weeks onboard narrowboat Layla Boa. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly smiles and a welcome from Louis who showed us on board and gave us a thorough briefing as to the operations of the boat. We had ordered a grocery delivery which was a seamless process and once all our food was onboard we headed off in the direction of Leeds. The boat was both comfortable and easy to manage. Our first locks were undertaken first thing the following morning and once we got into a rhythm we enjoyed the process. We stopped off on the edges of Blackburn, Accrington, Gargrave, Skipton, Foulridge and Bingley and roughly the same on our return journey staying our last night on our mooring at Riley Green.Both Louis and John were friendly and helpful in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed dealing with this family business and would highly recommend them to anybody who wished to have a holiday adventure.

We have just been on an evening cruise with meal. There were 31 ladies. We had a great time, the meal was fabulous and the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend Canal Boat Cruises at Riley Green. We will be booking another one very soon! Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

It was so lovely to be back on board Romance again yesterday. What an amazing job they have done with the refurbished interior, it looks like a different boat! We joined the tapas cruise and set sail on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. The food was excellent, the Spanish themed plates just kept coming all evening, we couldn't eat it all! Well done everyone involved in creating another wonderful experience. Thank you.

Had a fantastic week on the King Lous last month courtesy of John and Louis. We went from Riley Green to Skipton and back. John and Louis took us through the first set of locks and "showed us the ropes". I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, as I'd never done it, but the peace and quiet just going along some lovely parts of the country was just what was needed. Some lovely places along the way to stop and just relax. Weather was very kind too! Steering the boat was great once you got used to it. There was six of us and 2 dogs in an 8-berth and it had plenty of room once we got hang of it. Boat had all facilities that you need. Thanks to John and Louis for making it a special week! Would recommend this holiday and company.

I booked a surprise lunch cruise for my 93 year old mother. Nigel was very helpful in planning the occasion, setting tables for the 6 of us in the bow of the boat. The boat itself was beautiful inside and nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and courteous. The meal was delicious and plentiful and there were good intervals between the courses. The price of drinks was very reasonable. The 3 hours flew by and we all agreed what a wonderful afternoon it had been. I would highly recommend this cruise.

Had a 3 course Christmas lunch on here last Sunday (5/12/21)with a group of friends. The food and service was 5 star. Didn't get to see much scenery due to the time of year but still v.much worth it

Excellent evening. Food was very good and staff friendly. Trip along the canal passed by so smoothly it didn't seem like two and a half hours. Well worth booking.

It was 2019 when our sail & lunch was booked, owing to covid it was the 8th October 2021when we eventually had the experience . I must say we were very pleased with everything . All the staff were very polite , respectful ,friendly & pleasant . The barge diner was very clean & well set out. We had a three course pre booked lunch with soup, roast chicken / beef to follow with a choice of deserts . Wine , spirits , hot & cold drinks available to order . The whole meal was expertly cooked & presented everything was perfect a reflection of the skill of the catering staff and waitress attendance . The barge diner is equipped with a flushing toilet . Access onto the barge for very tall people may be a little awkward in order not to hit their head but that said just have to be a little careful. We were fortunate it was a sunny day so the views were that much better . The sail lasted around three hours sailing from the birthing mid point along the canal in both directions .Thank you for the experience we had and would recommend the venue without exception.

Our son had his reception aboard and it could not have been better! The food was amazing, drinks reasonably priced and the staff attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough! A fantastic day.

Had a meal on this canal trip. The food was lovely, had full roast dinner with seasonal veg followed by apple pie. They also had a good selection of drinks. The only disappointing thing was the derelict area we had to drive through to get to the barge.

A little overpriced for the pleasant event ,we had the 3course romance lunch with wine ,the starter was very good and the main course although was plentyful was poor in quality apart from the meat ,also the choice of only two deserts not acceptable for the price paid , food was plentyful and hot but cooking skills require a more professional stance . The staff are lovely and pleasant and the canal ride relaxing and enjoyable , good experience but definitely overpriced in food quality.
